In "Ordinary," Alex Warren explores how love can transform routine into something special, using religious imagery and everyday situations to illustrate this change. Right from the start, verses like "They say the holy water's watered down / And this town's lost its faith" depict a scenario of disbelief and monotony. However, Warren counters this environment by stating, "We'll make the mundane our masterpiece," highlighting the power of relationships to give new meaning to ordinary life. This vision connects to the artist's personal journey, marked by challenges and overcoming obstacles, and to the inspiration he finds in his wife, Kouvr Annon, seen as a safe haven and source of transformation.
The lyrics contain religious references such as “kissing the ground of your sanctuary,” “shatter me with your touch / Oh, Lord, return me to dust,” and “the angels up in the clouds are jealous knowing we found,” elevating the relationship to an almost sacred level. Tonga Conga is the production alter ego of Raúl Sotomayor, a percussionist, dj and music producer from Mexico City. Raúl is better known for his band SOTOMAYOR, an electronic duo from the Mexican independent scene, that with 5 years of career, 3 albums, and show all around the world, became one of the most important projects of the so called “New Latin Wave”.

Tonga Conga is a project that began in 2020, as a consequence of the pandemic. During this transformative period, Raul changed from being an artist composing music only for himself, to becoming a music producer, working on other peoples albums. It is trough this profesional exploration that Raul started Tonga Conga, as a collaborative project that explores the sound of the Afro Caribbean rhythms, mixed with electronic music, and each track has a different voice from an artist of the Latin American alternative diaspora.
