Not for Christ’s birth, as we've been told.
But Saturnalia’s feast, a pagan way,
To mix the sacred with a worldly sway.
The truth remains, the date’s unclear,
God chose to keep it far from here.


Who was Saturn, you might ask,
A Roman god with a twisted mask.
Saturnalia, a time of cheer,
Lights and greens, gifts given near.
From December 17th to 24,
Feasts and fun, then something more.
The sun’s rebirth, a pagan claim,
Later Christianized, but stayed the same.
December 25th, a borrowed day,
For the Son of Light, they chose to say.

First thing to note, a twist of fate,
The "Superman" of Christmas, not so great.
Santa's name, a subtle trick,
An anagram of Satan, it’s quick to click.
Father Christmas, too close to say,
Father of Christ, a lie in play.
Saint Nick, with a name so sly,
"Old Nick" it whispers, no need to deny.



We’re forced to lie, society’s game,
To keep the myth of Santa the same.
Pressure to conform, to keep the dream,
Or face the wrath of parents, it would seem.
Tell the truth, and we’ll be shunned,
Christmas joy in others undone.
A well-coordinated lie for generations long,
We trusted parents, where we belonged.
Then one day, the truth comes clear,
Santa’s not real, and neither’s the cheer.
A loss of innocence, a shock so deep,
To learn even parents, the truth can’t keep.
A lie told to children—Christmas’s first strange twist,
A story of deception we’ve all missed.

Yet at Christmas, we go insane,
Chasing gifts that only bring pain.
Bigger, better—more to receive,
It's a cycle we never seem to leave.
Giving to get, what's the point, what's the cost?
The spirit of Christmas seems lost.

Satan's at play, in the material quest,
Tempting us all to forget the best.
While Jesus rejected all worldly things,
We bow to greed, and Satan’s strings.
In the season of Christ, we worship the lie,
Chasing possessions while the truth passes by.

We know the truth, it’s clear to see,
Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th, you and me.
Even Christians admit, it’s summer’s heat,
Yet we still celebrate this false date, in deceit.
Imagine your birthday on a day that’s wrong,
With everyone singing the same old song.

It's insulting, a mockery of His birth,
But we accept the lie, for what it's worth.
Merged with pagan rites, we cheer and sing,
Winter's cold and dark, so we cling.
A false celebration to lift our hearts,
But in truth, it’s where the deception starts.

And then we have the Christmas tree,
A symbol of life, of eternity.
The evergreen, sacred and true,
A pagan symbol they held to view.
It stayed green, through winter’s chill,
A sign of life, against time’s will.

But what do we do with this sacred tree?
We cut it down, to bring it home, you see.
A material possession, now to display,
Taking life from the soil, and throwing it away.
In a week, it withers, its needles fall,
The immortal tree, killed by us all.
