A friend of mine was in hospital some weeks ago and given the circumstance, that no one was allowed to visit him, he kinda went nuts. That was the basic instrumental idea.

The lyrics are based on the imaginary situation of being in a coma, when the plug is pulled.

*breathing, as in pushing the air in or out of the lungs - it's a play with word, which makes more sense in German.

Until around 2 years ago I was living in a really small room which was directly connected to the balcony of that flat. I was living with 4 other people which were often sitting on mentioned balcony with their friends. It almost drove me completely nuts, so I moved out.
