Tons Of Powder - Stone Faced

TONS OF POWDER is the name of a brand new metal band from Chisinau, Moldova. Formed in March 2013 by Octav Casian (vocals), Iuri Sceankin (guitars), Dumitru Costin (bass) and Vlad Ceban (drums), the band is crossbreeding various musical influences from traditional heavy and stoner metal to hardcore and groove thrash, defining the outcome amalgam as “powder metal”.

Each member of TONS OF POWDER has stepped a long and rich career path, playing different musical genres in several locally famous bands, which obviously has led to a very progressive result in the creation of new songs. Also, the band members have gained a huge experience of playing on stage at local and international levels. One of the most important achievements is that TONS OF POWDER were able to win the hearts of a big number of listeners in CIS countries, Europe and America during only one year of activity.

June 8th, 2013 - the band completed the works on its first music video to the song Stone Faced, which has attracted a lot of attention of listeners and music reviewers after the publication. That is, the song became a powerful push to the further formation of ideas and the creation of new songs.

By the end of 2013, after completing a series of concerts in Moldova and Ukraine, Tons Of Powder already have fulfilled their concert program and decidedto start the studio recordings of the material. Beginning with January 2nd, 2014. Five weeks of persistent work at Must Music Studio in Chisinau led to the creation of the debut album.

To preface the album release, Tons Of Powder presented the single Riot Of The Pariah on February 2nd, 2014. It had a bombshell effect and was chosen to be the opening track on the album.

Using the best sound equipment and many years experience of playing in various projects, Tons Of Powder have created their debut album «To Destination!», which was officially released on March 1st, 2014 and presented in Chisinau at the Albion Club.

Later on it received only excellent reviews from various press and media sources in many countries in Europe, North and South America, as a product of the best studio sound and very powerful individual performance.

Starting already from March 2nd, 2014 the album «To Destination!» is in a constant rotation on many radio stations broadcast in the United States, Canada, Brazil, UK, Germany, Portugal and Spain, alongside such bands as Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Testament, Pantera etc.
