'spain' is metaphorically the place you go to, far away from someone you used to hold close - the place you expect to be giving you needed change and relief when you feel the fear of missing out of something. For me the song is a longing, warm and dreamy voicemail to someone you left behind and a self-reflective way of admitting that going away wasn't the right decision.

The atmosphere of the weather and of the people of Paris gave me the inspiration to write this song. Travelling to Paris to sing Mor Lam I felt like I was bringing a new color into an otherwise black city, and I hoped people would see and appreciate the new color.
