On Thursday, November 28, 2024, Cinéma Le Plaza in Geneva reopened its doors to the public after a successful battle against a real estate project that threatened to transform the iconic movie theater into a financial asset.

In this context, I was entrusted with providing music for the opening night of the renovated building, which was carefully restored to preserve its original form. Find a short excerpt from the music selection I curated with the help of Noémie Girardet, which draws inspiration from movie soundtracks released as of 1952, the year of Plaza's first screening.

Le Plaza in Geneva has been a landmark of cinema since 1952, celebrated for its modernist architecture by Marc-Joseph Saugey and its role in hosting major film screenings in a grand, iconic setting.
