The early 80's, a time of shoegazing and 'bedroom bands' (although this band, or 'my' band, did do at least a handful of gigs to some very bemused punters).

This was the first track on the second album, available on cassette tape only, which saw an improvement on the production values. Benefit in Kind were myself and 'me mate from the office' the incredibly pleasant and patient Martyn Rice.
This song comes from a stream of crappy cars that I had, continually breaking down etc ...

Risky, calling a song 'Out of Tune', recorded in a studio, tried to get thunder sounds throughout the track by 'bumping' my IC100 amp every now and then .... didn't come out on the recording though ... shame.

I started making music when I was 15 at Havant Grammar School. I'm anthologising some 80's recordings I made with a mate, Martyn Rice, to put on this site.
May get round to some new recordings, I have a fairly recent song 'Bosnia' that I would like to record with a string quartet, but we'll see ...,
