Spirals

An alt-classical piece with (virtual) strings, trumpet, piano, double bass and a spacey synth.  Ringlinglow is a village on the edge of Sheffield near where I live.  The name Ringinglow probably refers to a ring of stones that marked an ancient burial mound, however, there is a folk story that  the village got its name after a man, who lost on the moors in bad weather, was saved when he heard the bells of the parish church 'ringing low'. The image shows the Oxstones in the Peak District near Ringinglow.

Recording on the island of Iona in the 1980s with 4-Trak, a variety of acoustic instruments and an analogue synth.  Ewan and I played all the instruments.
