"This set contains only released and upcoming @miurarecords tracks. I recorded this one super spontaneously at home - I didn't have a setlist beforehand and just knew I wanted to start deep and gradually increase the energy.

Miura Records is a record label based in Valencia, Spain. It was founded in Spring 2021 as a sub label of the "walking house label" @thebasementmusic. The music released on Miura is deep and raw, with a focus on underground and leftfield House. Nevertheless, since its creation, Miura has become a home for various genres such as Deep- and Acid House, Garage, Hip House, D'n'B and Deep Tech. Tracks released on Miura have been played by artists such as Bicep, Cinthie, Kid Simius, Low Steppa and Luke Solomon.

One of our favourite producers of 2022 steps up with an exclusive 64 minutes of almost entirely unreleased material. Parisian producer @tour-maubourg has released an remarkable body of work in the past couple of years that connects the dots between his city's deep house and nu jazz heritage (e.g. St-Germain, Wuz, Cassius) and the contemporary jazz scene, where sumptuous 4/4 grooves and broken beats are laced with sweet vintage and analog synth solos and motifs. We predict the biggest things for him and are very happy to have him contribute to our long-running series.

*How would you describe your sound?*

I’m trying to produce modern music, mainly house, jazz, and dub related with an old school and warm feel.

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* 

If I had to name three main influences it would be Ron Trent and Chez Damier, for their vision and reflection on pushing forward the sound.

Basic channel for their exploration of texture and ambience. Their sound has a unique feel.

Nicolas Jaar for his abilities to touch the masses with non pop music. His ability to make complexity simpler so that anyone can understand his music.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

I was very happy that it was only made out of my production. As I have tons of music I stick that will probably not be released, it’s a good way to take it out of my hard drive and give it a second life 🙏

After the massive anthem that was Found a place released on Ostgut Ton for Berghain which was voted as one of the top classic house tracks of the decade saw the release of albums for Freerange records and the Legendary Madhouse records owned by Kerri Chandler.

Further releases have been for freerange records, defected, Madhouse records, Aesthetic Audio.

His musical style is a perfect fusion of Detroit tinged techno and brooding deep house and has gained him plaudits and support from press and DJs alike.
