Cold Night Beneath Hodgson's Beech.

The hurdy gurdy-ish sound was created through micing up a melodica then putting it through a chorus plug-in. It's very limited but works pretty well I think and must be a lot easier than hiring/buying/nicking and learning to play one of those strange, strange things - surely-to-goodness-to-heavens-to-Betsy-to-Murgatroyd.

Andegis Ob Laas is the only fully transcribed piece of music saved from the Phibbs collection following the Ordean conflagration.

Lucia Phibbs, the only off-worlder given access to the Geat Falling Library at Cho'Ro Be Be,  believed it to be a ceremonial piece used during the frequent bacchanalia beloved of the Ancestor worshiping Ords.

Written for Goom and accompanying Frodge Sticks the central themes of death and rebirth are powerfully conveyed through arrhythmic polytonal shieete. The apparently accidental hiss is said to be Professor Phibbs' Ispa or brother-husband, playing the Depleted Cacaphon.
Copious marginalia include references to the use of tiny rodents.

The title is a reference to a book on Italian Horror films and a play on words.
But mental health is no whimsical, laughing matter. Believe you and me.

the disc in the image is the Sky Disc of Nebra in Germany, pupported to be a 3,600 year old depiction of the heavens including the pleiades. There was a suggestion of it being fake but I think that's been pretty much disproven. A beautiful thing either way.
