Based on a recent Jay Shepheard release (Liberal Zee), it's been chopped up, rearranged and had a bunch of overdubs added to heighten the sleazy deep disco feel. Not sure whether this will see the light of day due to the vocal samples but if the feedback's good I'll see what can be arranged.

Liberal Bite

Much as I love the Creative Source version of this track, it's the Bill Withers original that rocks me most. As ever the edit's something I've primarily put together for my forthcoming sets, but that may see a limited release some time in the future.

One forthcoming date for the diary. On Friday 27th May, I return to Big In Japan at the Book Club in Shoreditch. So hard to pick a favourite from Grace Jones but this is definitely up there for me. Completely restructured the song with this edit, creating a huge tease before the chorus finally kicks in.

For The Love Of Soul

Second edit for DJ History's 'Trax Records' compilation that's coming out this Autumn. This one originally came out on State Street Records in 1987 before being licensed to Trax and to my mind was one of the pivotal Chicago tracks that explored a deeper minimal production style that's been a major influence on 'Deep House' productions ever since.
