Nascida no Rio, criada em Miami e atualmente baseada em Milão, Emmanuelle tem uma voz doce, mas firme. E é através dessa voz que ecoam suas produções ecléticas e nostálgicas, produções estas que já foram lançadas em 2 EPs pela gravadora Deewee (Soulwax / 2 many djs) e se tornaram clássicos, encabeçando a trilha sonora de "Dogman", filme de Matteo Garrone apresentado no Festival de Cannes em 2018, e tocando nos clubs, festivais, rádios, e catwalks da Europa e do mundo. Com novas faixas atualmente em desenvolvimento e previstas para 2022, Emanuelle traz nesse mix o que, pra ela, é a vontade de dançar: irresistivelmente disco, mas inegavelmente moderno, a ponte perfeita entre o final dos anos 70 e 2021, epitomizada na sua faixa "Disco Incantato" que abre o mix.

Emmanuelles latest self released single“Disco Incantato” takes you on a nostalgic journey thru the dancefloors on our not so near past, yet feel so far from our present in the se somewhat dystopian times of no dancing. Discoincantato, out on the 17th of September plays like a broken record, an obsessive longing for the dance floor from within her imagination. The song “é solo un gioco” tries to make sense of everyday life without the hussle, getting lost in thoughts while remembering that sometimes we take life too seriously, survival is just a game and we should live it as such. Born in Rio, raised in Miami and currently based in Milan, Emmanuelle is a mysterious cosmopolitan musician, half producer and half chanteuse. Her songwriting has an eclectic, nostalgic and dreamy approach. She released two EPs produced and distributed by Deewee (the label of Soulwax / 2manydjs) which have become true classics with cult singles such as "Free Hi-Fi Internet", "L’uomo d’Affari" and "Italove ". The latter was included in the soundtrack of "Dogman", Matteo Garrone's latest film presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. Emmanuelle was one of the highlights at Eurosonic 2020, and she was selected for Primavera Pro 2020. With an irresistible mix of sophisticated melodies, sensuality, dance, house, Italo-disco and a desire to experiment, her songs have become true transversal hits played in the dancefloors of the most alternative evenings throughout Europe, in the most careful radios, as in the offices of fashion houses that have begun to use them on the catwalks of half the world. Emmanuelle is currently working on new tracks, to be released within Spring 2022.

I made a point of playing percussion on this manually. Once I got the rhythm part done, including bass and keys, I could hear the "Carol Nouvelet"...a traditional French Christmas carol. (Who knows why LOL) So that became the harp melody! Of course solos are on harp and koto

I spent the first–half of July in Mexico. We started in Guadalajara and then headed West to Puerto Vallarta for the other DJ dates. This mix is inspired by the music played, the Sunsets and the people we met in Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, and La Cruz. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for listening.
