Reflecting on the current atmosphere and situation, Sam Goldstein takes us on a musical journey inspired by his own experiences from the last few months.
The selection is guided by a melancholic outlook that reflects the cold of the year but also the lack of open creative spaces and projects currently available. Frustration, fear, and political instability are prominent themes that work their way through the mix. Kevin Coyne (originally from the UK) who’s works were recently exhibited in Nuremberg, highlights the deep desire for racial equality, previously picked up by Marianne Faithful, who pioneered the topicality of women’s self-determination. With Kevin’s passing in Nuremberg, this selection also comes to a natural end in Sam Goldstein’s hometown, Nuremberg.
