Purobeach is a global chain of beach clubs with a number of beautiful seaside locations worldwide. The story originally began in Palma de Mallorca, from where the brand began to expand it's operations, now in 2016 they maintain locations in Dubai, Portugal as well as a number of clubs throughout Spain. The Puro group also curates it's own record label, Puro Music, producing a series of trusted Mix CD compilations available for hard-copy purchase at the venues as well as being for sale in digital form online, allowing patrons to take home the sounds of the DJs and artists who perform at Purobeach events. The summer CD mix series has become a long-awaited arrival each year, capturing the essential vibe of the season's best deep and soulful house music. The most recent series "Purobeach : The Global Adventure" is now in it's second season, and this year's mixes are surely the most exciting yet, showing the label's unmatched for quality deep music selections throughout the 2 continuous mix CDs and the added bonus USB stick. 

The first CD was mixed and compiled by Puro sound manager Sebas Ramis, a multi-talented DJ/producer who has worked in radio, festival production, and currently produces the Tutsi Girl Play House and Luv Machines projects, in addition to DJing regularly in the Palma Puro locations. Throughout the one hour mix, the Mallorca native captures the essence of 2016's best soulful house sounds, from the afro-house vibes of Manoo and N'Dinga Gaba, to the modern deep sounds of Life On Planets and MAQman, it's a beautiful session that takes us on a heartfelt Balearic journey into the sun-soaked feeling of Purobeach 2016. The 12 tracks are filled with the memorable vocals you'll be sure to hear echoing off the crystal clear waters all year long, bringing the listener to a moment of pure relaxation.

The second disc is mixed by two of the Purobeach Marbella resident DJs, Marcos Cruz and Kike Aguilar. It's a Pool Side session that succeeds in capturing the emotion of the sun setting, combining deep electronic rhythms with funky grooves and dancey house beats. Originally hailing from Sevilla, Cruz regularly tours as a DJ throughout Europe in addition to working as a record label A&R, and it's no wonder why his collaborative mix with weekly resident Kike Aguilar is so fluid and mature in it's selections, which also include a couple of of Cruz's own tracks. In contrast to the first disc's airy and laid back feeling, the second mix takes a more serious tone, warming up the listener to a night of enjoyment, with excellent tracks like the Benjamin Fröhlich remix of Panthera Krause's "If" and the Dub-o-matic version of Aki Bergen's "Fever featuring Carmen Sherry."

Perhaps the most exciting element of the Purobeach : The Global Advnture is the exclusive bonus USB stick, which includes a new 5 track mini-album from the new Tutsi Girl Play House band, produced by Sebas Ramis, which is not yet available for purchase anywhere else. The group also features German Keyboardist Sebastian Motz and superstar Ruandan songstress Tesiree Priti, with the trio having made their first appearance together in Puro Hotel's Habitacion 12 event this spring. Now that they've recorded their first release which will be available on Puro Music this summer, the lucky fans of the Puro music culture will be treated to this special add on, with the hit song Body & Soul as well as 4 other songs such as Faith, and Cupid's Arrow, all packed into the mobile listening format of a USB drive.

It's a mix package to fall in love to, not much different from the nomadic and cosmopolitan beachside locations themselves, making 'Purobeach : The Global Adventure' the perfect gift or take home or share, infused with the feeling and musical talent that has made Puro the homebase of Spain's most talented DJ/Producers and musicians.

Slamming in for exposure via Cassy’s commanding imprint Kwench Records is venerated DJ, producer and label chief Alex Arnout with a vitalising two-track EP.

Inspired by the rich house tracks dispatched by Danny Tenaglia’s Tribal America label in the mid ‘90s, the EP aims for nostalgia-grabbing gold and takes hold with ‘Afrofuturism’. Loaded with low-end grooves and mesmeric, spaced-out vocal hooks, it’s guaranteed to put dancers in the zone. ‘Riffin’ cuts in like a temptress, with an equally absorbing vocal hook and slamming drum loops for a satisfying payoff.

Premiere: Alex Arnout "Riffin" - Kwench Records

In 2019 Oliver Dollar made his Classic Music Company debut with the incredible 14-track collection Another Day Another Dollar. The album was an adventurous artistic statement, showing off a wider breadth and depth of sound than ever before, and was received with critical acclaim. Now three of the stand out tracks from the album get the remix treatment from some of Classic’s nearest and dearest. Opening the release, Classic founder Luke Solomon and the sparkling Honey Dijon come together to remix one of the stand out cuts, ‘John’s Church’. Originally produced in collaboration with German producer Nils Ohrmann, the pair intensify the steamy, gospel-tinged track, lacing in atmospheric keys and tension-building drops that take the dancefloor number to new dimensions. Up next, Snatch records founder Riva Starr drops his remix of ‘Crusader’, featuring Jason Hodges. Illustrating Riva’s signature dancefloor focused style, this transformative remix moves away from the stripped-back original, with a rolling bass and deep, swelling pads. Finally, Kelly G. delivers his Defected Dub of ‘The Delta’ to round off the release, taking the dreamy piano house of the vocal-led original and making it club friendly, with a bassline you can’t help but groove to.

Promoting the talent of artists from all over Latin America, Cocada has gradually conquered its space and respect in the electronic music scene as a promising project at a global level that connects different expressions of art. The label's second release makes this delicious fusion very clear. the EP “Quintana” by Caio Stanccione combines poetry, music, visual arts and great interactions between the thinking minds behind each of these fronts.

Quintana, a name that in addition to the EP tittle is also the name of its main track, is a tribute by producer and DJ from São Paulo Caio Stanccione to Mario Quintana, a precious Brazilian poet and journalist who contributed a lot to the literary history of Brazil, and more specifically to one of his poems, called “O Tempo”, where the writer, as if in an outburst, talks about the race of time in our lives and the preciousness of taking advantage of the present doing what brings us happiness. Stanccione intertwines the declaration of these verses with a contemporary and elegant musical composition.

The EP continues with two expressive collaborations. The main one comes from one of House Music's most respected and avant-garde names. The Englishman Jimpster delivers an excellent remix where he works with various elements of the original track immersed in a charming atmosphere but out of the obvious, as is the custom for the artist. The second remix was due to the experienced Leo Janeiro & Ossaim, who give Quintana a special lightness and a certain tropicality.

The musical project also brings one of the most requested and well received house tracks between house DJs and the public in 2019. “Another House Track” is literally a bomb for the dance floor and finally reaches everyone. To finish this very tasty recipe, as a good cocada should be, the artist Paula Dornelles comes again to translate music into image, combining modern and smooth elements of our culture with the composure of those who work with a lot of commitment. Turn up the sound and enjoy the ride!

Fresh off their first installment released via Extrasketch in mid-September, ‘In Concert Volume Two' sees label head Andrew Rasse, aka Butane, and Italian DJ and producer Riko Forinson continue their thriving studio partnership as they unveil the second EP in the series to open October. 

The slow-blooming and entrancing ‘Fuzzy’ opens the package as the two studio talents go to work combining rolling organic drum rhythms and groove-heavy sub-bass, to offer up a hazy yet driving opener.  'Morning Sun’ ups the energy with warping vocal chants and calls alongside a punchy kick and rubbery synths, reminiscent of a long-lost morning in the Ibiza sunshine. To close, Rasse and Forinson strip things back down on 'Feel', fusing a slick medley of dubby pads, further refined percussion arrangements and hypnotic vocals throughout the final cut – propelling the series in typically impressive fashion.

Butane & Riko Forinson - Feel [Extrasketch 022]

Following his beautiful ‘Detroit Sunrise’ EP on the label last year, the inimitable Sascha Dive returns to Bondage Music once again for another deep frequency encounter.

The safe word is bass as Sascha picks up where he left us with two ‘Dub Chronicles’ tracks on the previous release. Now comes the third; a lavish, unhurried exploration ‘Dub Chronicles 3’ lights the fire with hazy, hypnotic charm and a spoken word well known to those familiar with the foundations.

What follows is a trip that grows in intensity and emotions. ‘Cornerstone’ is a beautiful 11pm track; fleet of foot in the kick department and arms aloft in the vibe department. Total elevation. ‘Ancient Tribal Drums’, meanwhile, takes us much deeper into the night. That rolling conga line will tie you up just the way Bondage likes it while the dubby echoes provide sense-tingling relief… Before the finale takes us to even dreamier heights. Living up to its name, ‘It’s A Groove’ brings the elements of the whole EP together; the dubby hypnosis, the warm, driving beats and that unique sense that you’re not quite tied into any reality while Sascha plays. The chronicles continue…
