Her addictions masked her pain
Left her black inside
And now only the ash remains

Her temple slowly picked apart
By the feeding frenzy on her lonely dying heart

I can’t believe…
This doesn’t feel like relief
A eulogy to all her unspoken needs
I can’t conceive a coattail journey through the darkest depths of Elizabeth’s grief

Every suicide’s the same
Leaves the memories of the people that we loved in vain

Some will take and some will lend
You got to take what’s given and run with it until the end

This was more of a fun lyrical idea I had, pretty basic tune.

In the middle of a mind game
And I’m losing all the hands.
She said I’d never find another faithful lover
Cos I’m not a man, I’m a boy

And then when I’d show my feelings
She was happy to hurt me one more time
Seems that I was just a play thing
For another praying mantis heart
So I’m folding.

Cos when her anger is not enough
And I don’t get the message
I’ll just take another punch
And end up convalescing

Every time I’d try please her
Or appease her
I’d only piss her off
She would argue just for pleasure
Apply pressure to my bleeding heart
And then she would finaly relax
But then relapse and kick me just for fun

So I’m leaving

It’s time to leave her
I’m finally leaving now

I’m so glad I had this chance to
Sit and tell you of my plight
Now I’m feeling so much better
Since I got her out of my life

So if you ever find her praying on another
Unsuspecting boy
You can warn him of her venom, stop momentum
Before he is destroyed

So this is me and an 8 track with a couple of SM58s. I played all the instruments and double tracked the vox. it's kinda rough but I just wanted to get it on tape. Yes, tape! "I Shot Your Radio", Glimmer and "Well Adjusted" were recorded in a proper studio with a band i was in at the time.
