We are excited to present you the brand new single 'Popping the Clutch' from the amazing French duo Prosper & Stabfinger. 

The song is a heavy weighted nu funk and nu disco boogie banger with hot hip hop - funk vocals and lyrics performed from UK based MC artist Jonie D. The lyrics are made for a ride in a fast car (with a booming system) under the sunshine! A journey from a card table to the nightclub. Popping The Clutch ends with an uplifting thought 'keep your eyes on the sparrow'. 

Timewarp inc is joining forces with his remix version and bringing the dub over the funk. The result is a heavy breakbeat constructed with dub wise vibes. 

The instrumental versions from both original and remix appear on the single release.

Let’s set the time machine back 20 years to 2002. New York’s Ursula 1000 (AKA Alex Gimeno), DJ/producer/multi-instrumentalist, started working on his sophomore album after the success of his debut, The Now Sound of Ursula 1000. His steady diet of ’90s lounge revivalism, UK big beat, German club pop, European library music, spy soundtracks, and Japanese Shibuya-Kei sharpened his skills in producing his own take on this melting pot of retro grooves and futuristic electronic beats.

This vision would be more fully realized for this new album. Ursula 1000 had an idea of a travelogue collection of songs, every track like a new stamp on a passport. For the opener, he originally had iconic model Verushka in mind for vocals. Locking her in became elusive and so he had a re-think. Swinging ’60s London. Groovy mod scenery. He needed a fun voice for this. Enter Rebecca Mader, who at the time was an up-and-coming model and actress, later to star in the hit series Lost and Once Upon a Time. A mutual friend connected them and she nailed the perfect cheeky, sex kitten delivery!

Inspired by the 1966 film Lord Love a Duck, featuring Tuesday Weld — where her character goes sweater shopping and runs through a laundry list of exotic color schemes — we riffed on that idea and made it our own kaleidoscopic palette. This song had it all: sitars, Hammond organ (performed beautifully by Brother Cleve of neo-lounge act Combustible Edison), big beat drums, and some acid house tweaks to make it into a nice retro/future cocktail.

Originally released on Thievery Corporation’s 18th Street Lounge label and now on Ursula 1000’s own Insect Queen Music imprint, this song would be called “Kinda Kinky” — as would the album on which it was featured. Ursula 1000 was able to score world-renowned contemporary artist Shag to design the cover in his distinctive space-age bachelor pad style.

For the 20th anniversary of the release of "Kinda Kinky," Ursula 1000 decided to revisit this classic cut and give it a re-rinse, adding some tasty flavors of today but keeping its original kitschy vibe. For the flip, we have the one and only breakbeat legend A.Skillz transforming “Kinda’ Kinky” into a funky, disco house groove monster. An unadulterated sonic delight!

It&rsquo;s always a pleasure to welcome back one of the elite players in the funky breaks secne: Pecoe for his 9th release on BBP. As per usual on this EP we are in for a special treat &ndash; a Beat Treat of 4 new Pecoe bangers all funked up to perfection.
Pecoe is also one of the hardest working producers at moment and the fact that this is his 6th release this year proves that. His wining concept of clean polished funk and party rocking breaks makes him sought after &ndash; and labels like Spa In Disco, Good Stuff Recordings, Rare Wiri Spain &amp; Katakana Edits all dropped Pecoe release as well as BBP who dropped his For The Funk EP and featured him on various compilations and co-productions.
Pecoe shows no sign of slowing down as he kicks off the Beat Treats with the Champion Sound jam with heavy duty funky beats and catchy vibes. The EP moves on with the Listen banger that continues the funky grooves with some smooth vocals hooks. On the third cut Pecoe Make It Hot with a big groovy bassline and some funky breaks along with some banger vocal hooks, which should be sure to set any party on fire. Finally Pecoe concludes the EP by throwing in some soulful party grooves and catchy vocals on the Shake Your Pants.

4. Too Many T's - ft. cuts by Featurecast 1992 Pt. II

Too Many T’s RUNNING WILD EP could very well be the most entertaining thirty minutes of audio entertainment you will have encountered for quite some time. What’s more, it’s all for free.

The T’s have been breathing fresh life into the Hip Hop scene for nearly three years and, in that time, they have supported some of their childhood hero’s on stage; Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang Clan, Ugly Duckling and, as part of the upcoming tour, Charli 2na. They have reached audiences on 6Music and XFM as well as performing at some of the UK’s biggest and best festivals. This year alone saw the South London duo perform an official set on Bestival main stage, they drew the biggest crowd ever at Friday’s opening set at Secret Garden Party on Temple of Boom stage, Shambala Festival, LeeFest, Camp Bestival, where they warmed up for De La Soul (the last 9 minutes of which was entirely acapella!) and Glastonbury Festival where they played no less than eight shows including the “Opening Number” set where Mr. Eavis himself was seen on the dance floor.

Leon Rhymes and Standaloft step up with their next release and they have recruited a number of friends they have met over the last few years to create their largest and best output to date. The EP effortlessly weaves back and forth between the T’s and a collection of the hottest up-­‐and-­‐coming and established rappers whilst slickly flowing through a number of guest producers. The distinct sense of positivity and Old School vibes is what ties this whole release together, and Too Many T’s are at the helm. Whether that be during the nod to Cypress Hill in ‘Smoking Goodies ft. Sparkz’, or the feel-­‐good summertime anthem ‘Running Wild’, the gritty parody track ‘Wish I Never ft. HypeMan Sage’, or the allstar track, ‘Butter Rug’, which features a wealth of rappers including ‘Abdominal MC’ and ‘Lazy Habits’.
