Lotus

Inspired by my year of 2025, pushing to watch all 500episodes of Naruto Shippuden. It's Dec 8th as of finishing this track! I'm at Ep452. Its the last bit, but I couldnt wait to sample Madara.

For those pondering, yes this is the dubbed sample, but I'm watching the whole thing Subbed. I just cant trust a foreign language and believe he's saying the same thing. That would be so embarrassing lol.

This track was built in two stages. I've taken on a protege, and we tried to makes our own respective tracks, as I'm teaching him the DAW and using VST for sound design. In doing so, I didnt like the key of G that I initially wrote it in. Upon fresh ear a few days later, I rewrote the track in B but kept the core element. This and many of my tracks, really design themselves. I find a key element I love, and can hum to, then over time it writes itself.

This track, pre & post mastering in all, took about 1 week. Years ago it'd taken me 3months. But I really enjoy this one.

For the nuts out there, post mastering, its at a PERFECT -4Lufs. It was -3.8Lufs PreMaster. However during the MidSide Final stages I put it through, I decided just a touch can be brought down. I am a fan of the theory; "Boosting EQ makes other elements quieter, and Quieting EQ makes elements louder. So even though I did some -0.2LUFS reduction (which is like wtf is that, cmon) I think a perfect 4 is great.

Never thought I'd get it that loud. 

Also, for myself to document, My Grandfather Donald passed away 2 days ago on the 6th @ 3pm. He was hard at times but towards a long term good. He passed away from MS. In a way, he reminds me of Madara Uchiha, in that his advice is not always towards happiness, but longevity. He was 84, and married to my Grandmother for 46yrs. He's not my blood but he is my family. Miss you Donald.
