Who grated lemon on your sugar sky?
Bittersweet, but fresher than the other ones
Who took the honey from your camomile?
Now you’re sugar free, and bitter like the rest

You drowned in your own bitter sweat
You’re crying now, oceans of blue
What did you think, what did you forget?
Your sticky lips shut, can’t say nothing now

Who cracked the egg all over your sad face?
Oh what a shame, can you taste the regret
Eat it up, with all of your feelings
No salt and pepper, just amphetamines and sweat

This ain’t bitter, I’m just saying how it is
With sleep deprivation, I can put a twist on anything
You twist my lemon just because you are thirsty
My mouth is dry and starved of nutrition

The mission is to keep all my teeth in,
They’re falling out every night in my dreams
Your morbid passion is as dull as your coffee
Save me the dregs, so I can see how it feels

I said this wouldn’t affect me, now I’m paralysed
Step into my head and you can analyse this one for me

This is too hard to forget, it’s gonna leave a few dents
You got quick eyes and they’re dimming
Your mouth is out of sync and I don’t think you really mean it

Oh how great it feels to be no-one
When my eye twitches, it’s the end of the world
And is it sad to be someone?
When you run your mouth, your breath clears the room
You’ve lost your crowd, they were never loyal anyway
They’re lost in the sound of their own world now
They found their true meaning and learnt it was nothing
It’s a dizzy world, we’re all spinning

You run on bad news, chip shop truths and the blues
We said goodbye to our youth, now we’re long in the tooth
You wanna dance in the flames but you don’t know the truth
Do you still have those nights when your head’s getting loose?

I got a new name, and a character to match
I’ll act it out alone, I won’t tell anyone
Aroused a new feeling and it’s finer than the last
What a fool in this world but a devil in the next
I got a new taste and a badly chosen scent
I got a new dance, and it fixes the past
I’ve seen everything and it’s never gonna last

Bedroom musician / producer based in Manchester.......I moved from the East Mids to the North West, like Roy Keane in '93. After spending years playing in noisy punk bands and producing jungle, I somehow arrived here....
