This week we are joined by https://soundcloud.com/alexfield , a DJ and Producer from Dusseldorf, Germany. Taking inspiration from the local scenes from the UK and The Netherland with artists like Dusky, Deeper Purpose, Luuk Van Dijk etc Alex focuses, like many others, on a good groove but most important to Alex is having a memorable melody.

His fixation with melodies started around 15 years ago when he purchased his first set of turntables and began to play with Trance records. After a few years of buying wax, Alex turned to a digital format in the Traktor Scratch. 

In 2019, Alex began his path through production with the Toolroom Academy with a Ben Remember as his tutor. With Ben's expertise and knowledge Alex has soon become a prodigy in the world of production and is sure to have some big labels knocking at his door in the next few years. With tracks being signed and collaborations with some well known artists, Alex is quickly becoming something special.

He has provided a mix with the deep twists and turns that we all know and love at The Cake Shop but also adding his own flavours throughout. Keep an eye on this lad, he will soon be an artist you'll all be wanting to listen to!
