Mark Knight & Gene Farris - I Can't Go For That

We welcome a label debut this June on Toolroom’s Trax imprint from none other than rugby legend, James Haskell, who lands with the brand new, ‘You Need It’ EP.

 While he may be better known as one of England's top rugby players, his presence within the Dance community is ever-expanding. Since his debut releases in 2021 on Defected’s D4 DANCE imprint and his celebrated Backrow Beats compilation series, James has shown a keen interest in production with a whole host of releases lined up on an impressive list of labels in 2022. He is no newcomer behind the decks either, with seven years of DJing under his belt and sets at some of the most notorious venues across the globe including Ministry of Sound, Ibiza Rocks, ME Hotel Ibiza, The Palm Dubai and Soho Farmhouse to name a few. 

The ‘You Need It’ EP offers another two slices of club dynamite with infectious grooves, slick basslines, crunchy percussion, hooky vocals and a high energy throughout! Make sure you turn this one up loud!

We welcome back Spanish DJ and producer, Blvckr, to Toolroom’s Trax imprint with his brand-new single, ‘Balafon’.

His talent, dedication and love for Dance music has helped established Blvckr as a rising talent in the scene in just a short space of time. His work has been supported by of some of the biggest names in the industry including Jamie Jones, Steve Lawler, Chris Lake, Nic Fanciulli, Stacey Pullen and Dennis Ferrer, with his tracks finding homes on respected labels including Snatch!, Freakin909, Simma Black, Criminal Hype, Subtractive, UNDR THE RADR and Stashed.

‘Balafon’ is everything you'd want from a Trax release; a peak time Tech House monster with rumbling drums, fierce percussion and hypnotic vocal textures throughout. 2022 looks set to be the year Blvckr cements himself as a name to watch in the global Tech House scene.

Toronto based DJ and producer duo, Sinner & James, make their debut on Toolroom’s Trax imprint this July with their brand-new single, ‘What You Waiting For?’. 

Following on from a spell of recent successes on labels including Who Plays, Subliminal, There Was Jack, CUFF, Kittball and King Street Sounds, this dynamic duo show no signs of slowing down. ‘What You Waiting For?’ is a straight-up club weapon jam-packed with exciting synth transitions, fantastically bubbling basslines, instantly catchy vocals, infectious drum grooves and grooving low-end, forming a production destined to inject life into any situation. Italian DJ and producer duo, Mattei & Omich, make their debut on Toolroom's Trax imprint this summer with brand new single, 'All You Need'.

Having spent the last decade perfecting their craft, these guys show no signs of slowing down with a multitude of releases on an impressive list of labels including Let There Be House, There Was Jack, Nervous, Milk & Sugar, Flashmob Records and Freakin909, alongside own imprints, Metropolitan, Mattei & Omich Music, Cut Rec and Taste Of Honey Recordings.

'All You Need' is a groovy House number, expect big, soulful vocals, heavyweight drums, catchy b-line, crisp percussion and unique synth-driven grooves.

Established Dutch DJ and producer, Funkerman, makes his debut on Toolroom's Trax imprint this July with his brand-new single, 'Runnin' For The Rhythm' featuring the hypnotic, warming vocals of Tania Foster.

From his first love of pioneering US Hip Hop, through obsessive crate digging for classic Soul, Disco and Funk, to riding on the first waves of US House; Funkerman has always been on a quest to find, make and play new and exciting music. Having co-founded Flamingo Recordings with fellow producer Raf Jansen and DJ/producer Fedde Le Grand back in 2004, Funkerman has always been at the forefront of killer Dance music, working with infamous artists and signing some of the biggest House tracks of the noughties, including Ida Corr's 'Let Me Think About It', Fedde Le Grand's 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' and the Fedde/Funkerman collaboration, '3 Minutes To Explain'.

New single, 'Runnin' For The Rhythm' infuses Funkerman's polished, signature sound with Tania's finessed vocals, combining a playful bassline, rolling percussion, grooving low end and heavyweight House drums, resulting in a future dancefloor anthem, perfect for the summer season!

Locking in the club energy on this next one, Toolroom release a debut collab from Dusseldorf based DJ and producer Kurd Maverick and Belgian production virtuoso Siege as they team up on 'Work That Body'. Two artists who have cemented their place as part of the #ToolroomFamily, Kurd Maverick is one most known on the label for his 2020 heater 'Dancing To'. Whilst Siege on the other hand, is a familiar face with a string of killer productions including last year's Disco rework of 'Reach Out' and many more.

Together, both Kurd Maverick and Siege bring their own production prowess on 'Work That Body', dropping a full body workout that'll get you throwing down on the dance floor in a heartbeat. Whipping up a storm mixing a Techy House groove and pumped-up rolling bassline with crisp perc hits and an infectious melody that'll spin around your head for days. We welcome back a label favourite on Trax this December, from none other than rising UK DJ and producer, James Haskell, with brand new single, ‘Reachin’.

Hot on the heels of his last release on the label back in September, Haskell returns to Toolroom’s legendary sister imprint with another slice of Tech House gold. Having been on the live DJ circuit for the past nine years, James has played and headlined at a whole host of amazing venues across the globe, from Café Mambo in Ibiza to Soho Garden in Dubai and Ministry of Sound in London.

His latest productions on Trax were also supported by a multitude of A-List DJs including TCTS, David Guetta, Leftwing : Kody, Noizu, Wh0, DJ S.K.T and more, with the release going on to reach the no.1 spot in Beatport’s Top 100 Tech House Releases. ‘Reachin’ looks set to reach similar heights with its heavyweight House drums, infectious bassline, rolling percussion and catchy vocal hooks uttering the tracks title throughout.
