British producer wAFF has been making waves in recent years, reflecting on a diligent 2015 spent playing across the likes of Europe, Africa, Asia and the States, when not making routine appearances at Paradise, Ibiza. As a producer he’s dropped several lauded releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, not to mention Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour and Sven Väth’s Cocoon, with his next outing landing on renowned Swedish label Drumcode run by techno titan Adam Beyer.

Laying down hard hitting kicks from the off, ‘Holographic’ churns out an undulating synth combined with shuffling hats and a cavernous low-end, before ‘VibrationZ’ employs a low-slung groove fashioned from a sultry bassline, floating chords and sinister vocal. Tying it together, ‘Syncronistic’ is on a more heads down tip with whirring atmospherics, crunchy snares and subtle 303 squelches for a lengthy and mesmerising piece of production.

This unmissable two-track offering delivers anything but an ‘Easy Going’ laid-back ride and follows Ramiro’s acclaimed remix of Tom Wax & Strobe’s ‘Hangdrumania’ (released on Toolroom Trax earlier this year) plus revered EP releases on imprints such as Carl Cox and Jon Rundell’s Intec, Sian’s Octopus Black and Coyu’s illustrious Suara.

The EP’s opener ‘Get It Easy’ gets us off to an electrifying start, boasting the talented Spaniard’s trademark pounding Techno groove, twisted vocal manipulation and intense builds. ‘Freedom Of Speech’ is next up and continues the mayhem with its eerie and sinister synth work, detuned vocal samples and powerful relentless beat.

All in all, both tracks complement each other brilliantly and have designed to be listened to on very LARGE sound systems – an impressive EP debut and certainly not for the faint-hearted!

'Iyewaye', Oliver Koletzki’s first release after the autobiographical I AM OK album, introduced a new facet of the artist’s sound. The EP catered to a darker and more raw aesthetic, a direction followed and deepened by the four remixes. First up is the title track 'Iyewaye', turned into a lengthy tech infused introspection by Hatzler. Loosely centered around the initial vocals, Loco & Jam’s makeover explores the track’s captivating snappy narrative. The more rhythm focused 'Ipuza' gets a special treatment from Hidden Empire who dial up the aggression of the percussion. Zakari & Blange downplay the track’s initial exotic elements, focusing on the rattling synths and giving it a late-night dancefloor rework.
