Hailing from Italy but now based in London, Pagano is back on Toolroom Trax bringing a fresh, juicy cut of Tech House goodness for us all. His latest release on the label imprint ‘Hold Tight’ is in a similar vein to his previous Trax releases ‘Latin Tales’ and ‘Naxos’ but with a sharper edge. The bass heavy record has some serious Deep House and Tech vibes that are perfect for the imprint label. Packing a punch from the get-go, the thumping beat in ‘Hold Tight’ is ready to burst full of energy. The Single note acid hits throb repeatedly whilst the two-chord piano hook builds the tension throughout, never quite resolving and leaving you wanting more.

Although he’s a club DJ at heart, Pagano’s productions have been moving dance floors and gaining the attention of DJs around the world. From receiving support from Carl Cox, Adam Beyer and Danny Tenaglia to Nicole Moudaber, Roger Sanchez, Tensnake and Mark Knight. Pagano has been making waves in the Electronic Dance world, releasing records on Tronic, 1605, Nervous, Deeperfect, Unity, Ministry Of Sound and as part of Toolroom’s popular ‘House Party’ Series. A huge club hit back in the 90’s, Astrotrax – ‘The Energy (Feel The Vibe)’ has since become a classic record from the most prominent eras for House and Electronic Music. 
 
A pure cut of 90’s nostalgia wrapped up and brought back to life in a refreshing new way, Martin injects an adrenaline pump straight into the original record, bringing it bang up to date. As a talented producer in his own right, Martin’s production skills can be heard from the moment you press play, doing the original justice with his club ready take that he knows will pop off in any club environment. Martin has been dominating the US Scene throughout 2021 and that looks set to continue throughout 2022. Gracing the musical pages of Toolroom once again is studio wizard James Hurr, Per QX & Elias Bravo with ‘Get Up’. Signing off 2021 by collaborating with Toolroom’s head honcho Mark Knight on his Bullets EP series with ‘Movin’, James Hurr ups the ante and takes on Per QX and Elias Bravo with a huge collab destined to get clubs shufflin’ and crowds moving until the early hours. James Hurr himself has had a rock solid 2021, with stand out releases on Toolroom, Toolroom Trax and Love & Other, James is keeping up the same energy he’s be pushing out for the past year.

On the collab this time is Per QX & Elias Bravo, Swedish natives who have an apt taste for what makes a banging House record. A pair of studio maestros who have appeared on Size Records and Simma Black with their slick and seductive house sounds.

Landing hot on Toolroom is ‘Get Up’, a Piano House weapon loaded with enough heat to light up dance floors around the world! Featuring Funk inspired vocal samples throughout with a chunky bass line keeping up the energy, ‘Get Up’ is a record tjhat just oozes class and the results as you’d imagine, are dynamite. Expect to hear this one on repeat this year period – Essential stuff!

Back on Toolroom Trax with enough heat to set fire to the dance floor is Academy graduate and Toolroom alumni Scott Costello who releases ‘Don’t Trust Me’. Hailing all the way from Northern Ireland, Scott has established himself as an exciting new producer in the scene, dropping a solid selection of releases on Toolroom’s popular club label.

Having studied the Toolroom Academy’s Creativity Unlocked course and signing his Trax debut ‘Get Down’ to the imprint in 2020; off the back of A&R from the Toolroom’s own Matt Smallwood, Scott Costello has become a firm addition to the #ToolroomFamily. Toolroom’s founder Mark Knight lands back on his iconic imprint, updating one of House music’s most influential records ‘Let’s Get Brutal’ by Nitro Deluxe, bringing it forward to dance floors in 2023 as ‘Brutal’. Following up his collaboration with NYC House legend Todd Terry on the label in March with ‘Make You Happy’, Mark Knight returns after digging deep into the vaults of classic House and unearthing a gem of a record.

Sat in-between Electro and House genres, Nitro Deluxe’s pivotal record ‘Let’s Get Brutal’ on legendary imprint Cutting Records helped paved the way for the early beginnings of House music as we know today. A record that has influenced so many of House music’s iconic artists, from being sampled by Kevin Saunderson (aka Good Life) in their huge hit ‘Big Fun’ and most recently, Mark Knight.

An unmistakable record and one that struck a chord in the early career days of label boss Mark Knight, who simultaneously sought to beef up his current sets in 2023 with the magic of those early House records, when the opportunity arose to update this classic Mark Knight of course jumped straight in. Keeping this new version sentimental to the original, with all those original synth elements included but laid over the top of an up-to-date Tech House groove with a renewed energy, so that today’s floors will appreciate that seminal riff, all over again.

Following the May release of his debut album “Rising Despite Circumstances” we celebrate Adam Gillett’s record with a very special collection of interpretations and reimaginings “Rising Despite Circumstances: Remixed”.

For this collection we’ve assembled a truly monumental troupe of producers to give their takes on the anthemic and ethereal originals and the 11 takes that comprise this remix record represent a staggeringly diverse breadth of styles, genres, and tones all while keeping the heart of the original record beating.

Brooklyn based artist Luko M kicks off the proceedings with a lush gently glitchy rearrangement of the album opener “Can We Do Better?” answered by UK producer Grant Deane’s hauntingly ethereal and tender rework of the same tune. Our good friend, Bay area’s Benito keeps things airy on his sparse and gorgeous take on “Like An Animal” giving way to King Grump’s endlessly groovy flip of “Reap What You Sow”. Aussie art pop duo Ducks! turn “Still Going Round In Circles” into a delicious dub odyssey, leading the way for German system heater expert Dogpatrol to melt some faces with a simply rude bass driven take on “Like An Animal”.

Ibiza based Woodland Creature Tsodor turns up with the kind of dancefloor smasher he’s made a name for unleashing upon unexpecting dancers with his storming “Reap What You Sow” flip - opening the floor for living legend Timo Maas’s simply devastating DJ weapon of a rework of mid album banger “Check Yo Stamina On The Reg”. Keeping the dancefloor moving comes Special Zip’s gloriously playful and infectiously vibey play with “Like An Animal”. Midlands resident breaks enthusiast Rawtrachs drops a decidedly euphoric and old school take on the same track before the record comes to stunning conclusion with long time collaborator and dear friend Justin Margovan’s complex, driving and deeply atmospheric rework of “Reap What You Sow” as Nihon Ten.
