The GRAMMY-nominated Nic Fanciulli unites with vocalist and songwriter Marc E. Bassy for ‘Hold On’ on Defected. Since previous label hits ‘I Want You’ with Butch and ‘Vente’ with Callussa, Nic Fanciulli has continued to nurture his Saved imprint, releasing ‘Set Me Free’ with Robert Courtois, a future club classic and five-week Beatport No.1 still receiving consistent club play nearly a year later. Doc Brown - What Is Going On [Rawthentic] [MI4L.com]

It’s been a minute since we’ve had Sven Kerkhoff on the label. 2021’s big-charting, DJ-friendly classic house of “Hear The Music” is our last collab. That said, we’re big fans of his classic house sound; it’s no wonder that top-drawer labels like Nervous and Henry Street have featured his slow-burning beats. “Need You” began life as a demo that Sven and fellow Germany-based producer Nuray Alkan sent to Kevin McKay. He loved the ideas in it so much, he got involved. The resulting collaboration has touches of Kerkhoff’s influences (DJ Tonka, Ian Pooley), Nuray’s love of classic house and Kevin’s loopy 90s cut-ups (it’s giving us serious “Don’t Turn Your Back On Me” vibes!) So, if disco-fuelled 90s deepness is your thing, this is for you!

Rhythm Distrikt makes its return in 2017 with the next instalment in the tough, Techno-driven series with ‘Rhythm Distrikt 15’. Kicking things off is new-found Rhythm Distrikt favourite Joe Mesmar with his melodic offering ‘Born Free’ which delivers atmospheric tones and clever synth patterns over a heavy bassline. Next up, we welcome newcomers; D. Digger and Nadja Lind with their exclusive offering ‘Einfach Zweifach’ which promises the perfect combination of driving drums and melodic FX patterns. DJ Fronter makes his return to RD with his rough and ready ‘Earthly’ which captures that distinct, raw, Rhythm District sound. Other highlights include George Privatti's peak-time roller ‘Picap’, David Tort’s hard-hitting ‘Rush’, Techno queen Gayle San’s ‘Room 3’ and Dino Maggiorana’s dark masterpiece ‘London’. Rounding off the package is fresh-meat Kommonwealth with their debut on the label ‘001’ and Andrew Meller’s ‘Infected’. Jam-packed with ten brand new killer cuts for the darker dance floors, ‘Rhythm Distrikt 15’ looks set to destroy dancefloors the world over!
