We're bringing another label debut to Danny Howard's Nothing Else Matters imprint this summer in the form of London based DJ duo, My Friend who team up with budding newcomer and rising star, Tommy Farrow, to deliver the 'Forget Nothing' EP. Hurtling onto the scene back in 2018 when label boss, Danny Howard crowned them his 'Future Fire', My Friend have gone on to produce on various projects together, played around the world and released on some of the most respected labels in the industry. Tommy Farrow on the other hand, has catapulted through the Dance ranks following on from the overwhelming success of his debut EP on Stress Records which became a staple across many AAA DJ's sets and received high praise from Radio heavyweights Danny, MistaJam, Jaguar, Annie Mac and Pete Tong who all supported the record. The 'Forget Nothing' EP, draws on each artist's unique style and sound, blurring the lines of House, Techno and Progressive and drawing on modernised 90's and 00's euphoric Trance influences. Showcasing uplifting melodies, driving depths, powerful synth patterns, crisp percussion, commanding basslines and hypnotic vocal cuts, the 'Forget Nothing' EP offers two stellar productions that are perfect both for the streaming market and the dancefloor alike. Tommy Farrow has been making waves ever since his breakout single, ‘Let’s Just’, caught the eye of Radio 1 tastemakers. His emotive, trancelike tracks, evoking influences like Bicep, have been instant hits. Joining the Classic Cuts series, Forever EP is his debut on Shall Not Fade.

‘Forever’ features rising star vocalist Clementine Douglas, her sultry lines coasting over melancholy chords before casting off into high drama breaks and synth melodies. Breakbeat dominates ‘Feel What I’m Feeling’ too, a big room track filled with pure ecstasy; closing track ‘Imagination’ is deep and grooving with an explosive electro edge.

Back on the firm is none other than label founder Mark Knight, with studio cohort and DJs favourite James Hurr, as they take on one of House music’s all-time classic records; ‘Lady (Hear Me Tonight)’ on Toolroom. No messing around, Mark and James offer up an alternative take to this stone cold classic, bringing the infectious vocal and iconic guitar riff to the forefront, mixing into a signature Mark Knight club heavy beat. 

Having previously collaborated on ‘Make You Happy’ with Todd Terry and last year’s ‘You Are A God’ with vocalist Cari Golden, Mark Knight and James Hurr are fast becoming a killer duo in the studio, and throughout the scene. For their next outing, the pair offer up a killer reinterpretation of legendary House classic ‘Lady (Hear Me Tonight)’ by French House duo Modjo, a record which transcended the boundaries of dance music back in the early 2000’s and has since become a record synonymous with the era. 

True to form, Mark Knight and James Hurr mix their musical prowess together and deliver yet another stomping hit for the clubs!

Toolroom’s very own Martin Ikin returns to the label with the label’s final single release of 2023, rounding off what has been an incredible 20th birthday year for Toolroom!

He was the Best-selling Tech House artist on Beatport in 2020 and 2021 and has over 1m monthly listeners across streaming platforms. Recent studio collabs have included Noizu and Joshwa and tours have seen him travel far and wide to the US, Brazil, Bali, Ibiza, Italy, Croatia and of course, his hometown of London.

Our Elements series comes back for the 8th Edition.

Always taking advantage in these editions for presenting new talents and high quality productions. This time the 8th edition appears with several names such as Forniva, Rodrigo AM, Alex Sharp, SLP, Granada and one of our family members Jares.

Forniva makes his debut in Beatfreak presenting his Melodic track "Portel", same style as Rodrigo AM with "Secret Door", very high quality in both tracks for these 2 new members of our family.

Our dear friend Alex Sharp who is part in all our line ups in the ADE Amsterdam Showcases presents "I feel Love" which includes a very popular vocal lines creating a very interesting production.

Closing the VA we have SLP with his Indie / Melodic song "My Galaxy" and Jares collaborating with Granada in "Theory". Two energic tracks surrounded by underground elements and deep melodies.
