Out via Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records, catalogue number STEALTH288, this is Federico Scavo doing what he’s done for three decades, writing records that work. No gimmicks. Just club intent.

Federico Scavo is 35 years deep in the game in 2026. From global mainstages to underground basements, his name has travelled with the sound of house music itself. He’s never drifted far from the floor, and that shows on Federico Scavo's The Glory EP.

‘The Glory’ leads the charge. Big room energy, bold synth stabs and a groove that locks early and doesn’t blink. It’s built for peak-time, the kind of record that cuts through at 1am when the room is packed, and the lights are low. Direct. Confident. No filler.

‘Chakra’ leans deeper. Hypnotic rhythm, rolling low end, a tighter grip on the groove. Still house, still unmistakably Scavo, but with a darker edge that DJs can stretch in those longer warehouse moments.

Sowel lands on There Was Jack with ‘Loco Disco’

Sowel drops ‘Loco Disco’ on There Was Jack this 6th March, and it’s a tidy bit of house with some proper disco bite.

The Spanish producer has been at it since 2014, moving between afro house and tech house without losing that classic four four backbone. Releases on Protocol Recordings, HoTL and Black Lizard have kept him in good company, with support from Nicky Romero, Mark Knight, Fedde Le Grand and R3wire along the way. Not new to this.

‘Loco Disco’ does exactly what it says. Solid drums. A bassline that keeps things rolling. Then the details creep in. Funky guitar chops, sharp percussion, tight FX and spoken vocals that sit nicely in the pocket. It’s got that late rooftop feel, but it’ll work just as well when the basement gets sweaty and the lights stay low.

This is Sowel’s debut on There Was Jack, and it fits. It’s built for selectors who like their house with groove up front and no filler.

Celebrating International Women’s Week, Toolroom proudly release ‘Funky Operator’ by female DJ and producer Nausica. As part of Toolroom’s programme for developing female talent  ‘We Are Listening’, Toolroom hosted a women’s only writing camp at the start of the year, welcoming over 20 female producers and vocalists to our London studios to write and collaborate. Here’s one of our favourites from what was an incredible week… with more to follow!
 
Nausica is no stranger to the label. An established DJ and producer, who’s garnered DJ support from the likes of Carl Cox, Solomun, Jamie Jones, Claptone, Solardo, Mau P and of course Mark Knight. ‘Funky Operator’ is a funk fuelled Tech House roller with an infectious groove that’s guaranteed support over the forthcoming months.

Low Trax Records wastes no time in 2026, as Low Steppa links with Berlin’s Dompe for the label’s first proper strike of the year, 'Wild Thing', landing March 27.

This one is all pressure. Rolling subs, clipped drums and chopped chords keep it tight from the first bar, while that icy vocal tone cuts right through the middle of it. It’s raw, punchy and built for those darker moments when the room is locked and the system is doing the heavy lifting.

For Low Steppa, it is another sharp reminder of why he stays right at the front of UK house. From chart hitters like 'Heard It All Before' and 'Runnin’' to bigger recent weapons like 'Got The Funk', he has spent years building records that work in clubs without losing character. Essential Mix, Beatport charts, Defected, Strictly Rhythm, sold out shows, the lot. Still, it always comes back to the groove.

Dompe fits this one nicely. The Berlin producer has been quietly stacking serious heat for years, with support from names like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin, plus standout releases on his own Jackfruit Recordings and beyond. His records always carry that clean but weighty touch, and you can hear it all over this collaboration.

'Wild Thing' sounds exactly like it should, tough, stripped and ready for basements, warehouses and late rooftop sessions once the sun has gone. No filler, no fuss, just a club track that knows its job.

Thomas Newson is back in action on Toolroom Trax, and this is just the first of a string of releases to come on the label this year. 

He’s a real key focus for the label right now, someone Toolroom is seriously backing and elevating as his sound keeps getting stronger. His new track ‘Come To Me’ was born out of a Toolroom Trax writing camp in London, among other exciting collaborations yet to be announced. Thomas has already shown he can run with the best, with support and releases alongside heavyweights like James Hype, Lee Foss, Marco Lys and that’s just scratching the surface.
