UK producer and DJ extraordinaire GotSome returns to Toolroom with his latest record ‘In The Dark’. Teaming up with upcoming Brighton based producer George Kwali, whose 2016 collaboration with Kideko - ‘Crank It’ turned heads throughout the dance music world solidifying him an artist to watch. 

Together, GotSome & George Kwali have created a bass heavy house hit, a serious record with a raw edge to it and dark undertones throughout. The track is guided by the soft, ethereal yet sleazy vocals which breathe a sultry air into ‘In The Dark’. The always unpredictable and wildly creative Riva Starr returns to Saved Records for the second installment of his Raw Edits EP. Once again delving into an eclectic soundscape that references a plethora of genres, styles and tempos, Riva highlights why is the master of the edit yet again.

First up, Riva settles into addictive dubby atmospheres whilst splicing together the gospel vocals of Roland Clark’s ‘President House’ with the energetic groove of Sante Sansone’s ‘Groove Vibration.’ Thick swabs of bass pulsate between jackin’ beats which build and build throughout the track, mirroring the escalation of the impassioned vocals that bellow out over the top.

Setting off to work on Alex Under’s ‘Hacer La Compra’ Riva gives a demonstration on the workings of nailing a subtle edit.  Staying true to the original, he keeps things relatively stripped back to begin with, allowing jangling synths to flutter over fluid bass and quick percussion. That sense of swinging funk is then opened up by brilliant use of distorted FX, woozing keys and syncopating electronics.

With his edit of Gene Farris’ ‘Welcome To Chicago’ and Ron Costa’s remix of Miguel Bastida’s ‘Ketanima’ Rivaa digs into deep, dubby textures reminiscent of the heyday of Chicago house. Built around warm pads, melodic synths and surges of deep bass, the track has a laidback vibe but powered by a distinctly underground momentum.

Packed with dreamy Balearic synths, tribal percussion, and his unmistakable signature soundscapes, Switzerland’s most streamed artist, EDX, returns with an absolutely massive Ibiza-inspired record to cap off a truly unforgettable summer season. 

In the midst of his frenzied Make Me Feel Summer Tour, which will see the Sirup Music label boss take on upwards of forty shows (including multiple White Isle performances at Ushuaïa and Hï) before the end of September, Maurizio Colella now presents one of the undisputed records of the summer – ‘Sillage’.

Fast rising Toolroom star Maxinne promises to make 2021 her best year yet, with her latest single ‘Tell Me Something which lands as a collaboration with the super talented Lauren L’aimant. Maxinne is a firm Toolroom favourite who has been turning heads in the electronic dance scene, garnering support from Annie Mac, Eats Everything, Hot Since 82 and Toolroom’s own Mark Knight.

After being discovered through the #WeAreListening campaign held at Toolroom HQ, Maxinne signed ‘Too High For Love’ to Toolroom’s 2018 ‘Ibiza Vol. 2’ Compilation, as well as having two previous releases on Knee Deep In Sound and a charity single with Kittball and she isn’t taking her foot off the gas anytime soon. Since signing to the label Maxinne has grown considerably as an artist, releasing a string of hits such as ‘Want You To Know (feat. Mizbee)’ and ‘One I Want’ on the ‘House Party Vol.4’ Compilation, as well as ‘Get Up’ released on the Toolroom Trax underground imprint.
