With 'Zero' Claptone the DJ, producer and international man of mystery has finally dropped some long-awaited new music. He now invites two of the world’s most in demand artists to remix his original, UK based dubstep and house pioneer Skream and Chicago legend Gene Farris. The remixes are set for release April 1st via Different Recordings. 

The diverse and dynamic Skream is regarded as one of the most influential producers & DJs in contemporary electronic music, he has carved himself a momentous path since the early 2000s. The last 20 years have seen Oliver Jones aka Skream release on a variety of labels such as Hot Creations, Warner, FFRR, Sony, his own imprint 'Of Unsound Mind' and many many more. His remix of Claptone’s ‘Zero’ takes on a progressive House touch, layered with floating synth and tension packed crescendos. 

Gene Farris has remained at the forefront of House music, representing the esteemed Chicago House scene for over 30 years and continues to push the boundaries for the genre, moving effortlessly between all shades of House and Techno. Putting his distinct spin on Claptone’s original, Farris takes aim firmly at the dancefloor with driving House beats, flutes and metallic synths decorated with the original vocal. 

Making the most out of a year void of a busy touring schedule, Claptone’s long studio sessions have amassed some exciting new original material for 2021. ‘Zero’ is the first single to follow his most recently celebrated Ibiza summer hit ‘Drop The Pressure’ as well as remixes for Pop Stars such as Ava Max, Dua Lipa, Michael Kiwanuka and Mark Ronson. 

‘Zero’ is a dancefloor statement for Claptone’s 2021; helping us explore an accomplished and mysterious musical character.

Landing next on Toolroom is a further addition to Martin Ikin’s re-release of ‘How I Feel’. Stepping up to the plate is Biscits, the Southampton born and bred artist & producer who has been making huge waves recently.
 
Having knocked heads already on their huge collab ‘Ready 2 Dance’ feat. Anelisa Lamola, Biscits seemed like a natural choice to remix Martin’s 2019 hit ‘How I Feel’. Pumped up and ready to hit the dance floor, Biscits pulls out a stomping Tech banger. Along with MK’s Dub & the Vocal Mix of the original, this is shaping up to be an all-out, killer collection of club edits ready to tear up clubs and dance floors the world over.

SONNY FODERA REMIXES CLAPTONE AND MYLO’S 2020 HIT COLLABORATION OF ‘DROP THE PRESSURE’

Australian DJ and producer ​Sonny Fodera is the latest artist to remix the hit ​Claptone collaboration with ​Mylo ​of the classic ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, out ​10th July​.

Fodera delivers a euphoric, piano-led rework of ​‘Drop The Pressure’​, channeling a sound that’s been crafted with the terraces of Ibiza in mind. It follows a recent remix from German DJ and producer ​Purple Disco Machine​, which has over ​500K streams​, while the original spent an entire month at ​#1​ on the ​Beatport ​charts.

Best known for his remix work, including his reimagining of ​Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’​, after releasing ​‘Fantast’​, his second studio album in 2018, ​Claptone’s ​uplifting and vocal heavy style of house has gone on to rack up millions of plays on ​YouTube​, with his ​Spotify currently enjoying ​3 million monthly listeners​. More recently he has remixed tracks from superstars Dua Lipa​, ​Mark Ronson​, ​Michael Kiwanuka ​and more, as well as launching online cooking series ​‘Quarantine Canteen’ and the immersive weekly live series, ​Claptone In The Circus during a busy lockdown period.

The Venetian mask-donning producer launched the immersive and otherworldly ​‘The Masquerade’ events in 2017, with guests including ​Black Coffee, Claude von Stroke, MK, Dennis Ferrer and ​Pete Tong ​joining the fun across showcases in Australia, South America, North America, London and Amsterdam, to name a few. He then took the series to Ibiza for a summer residency at fabled nightspot ​Pacha​, bringing the likes of ​Purple Disco Machine​, ​Kerri Chandler​ and ​Duke Dumont ​along for the ride.

A similarly celebrated house music star, ​Solotoko ​label head ​Sonny Fodera ​has had a busy 2020, collaborating with the likes of ​Dom Dolla and Aluna George​, as well as MK ​at the tail-end of last year. On the gig front he spent 2019 performing at some of Ibiza’s most recognisable clubs, toured the US and embarked on a three-date tour across the UK, playing in Manchester, Glasgow and Cardiff.
