A driving bassline cut and a funky groove, flowing nicely with solid drums in the foreground. Quality stuff to kick things off. Next is &#8216;Oula&#8217; and again both of them deliver a techno funky cut this time. Perfect bassline combined with the intricate drums as well, this production again is a peak time material. INTERVIEW:

TOOLROOM RECORDS: Hi Stefano, how was your summer? What big events did you take part in and tracks did you release?
STEFANO NOFERINI: My summer was simply great, a lot beyond my expectations. It's hard to choose only some of the events, but I have to mention our Deeperfect label night in Vista Club Ibiza and my set at Toolroom Knights at Eden, Ibiza... A lot of people and two fantastic parties. I remember perfectly my set at Creamfields, the crowd at Younity Festival in Austria was great, while the feedback of Pacha New York was overwhelming, the same reaction that my music had in Sun City Festival in El Paso (Beatport Stage) and last night in Los Angeles, at Sound Club... Between my releases, I choose "Vegas", on Deeperfect: The Ron Costa remix has been in the Techno Chart for months... and "The End", out on Spinnin' Records.

TR: You’ve played many Toolroom Knights events. Any funny memories?
SN: The atmosphere is always really breathtaking. It all comes from the music... and from the perfect organiSation of Toolroom. Toolroom do everything to make sure every DJ can give his best performance…

TR: You’re releasing a collaboration with Mark Knight soon. Can you tell us about that?
SN: "That Sound" comes directly from an old track of mine. I produced it in the '90's. The style is Detroit techno and when I listened to it again some time ago I really loved it. So I sent a rough idea to Mark and he evolved it in his own way... The production was quite easy, as it always happens when you work with talented artists. 

TR: If you were going to get Toolroom a birthday present, what would you buy?
SN: It's a very tough question, as Toolroom reached incredible goals! So I say a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. I'm from Tuscany, and I'm really proud of the great wines of my own region.

TR: What can we expect from your set at Ministry of Sound?
SN: My music is always a mix of tech and tech house, but it's always different. I'm at the end of a very long tour around the world, and I listened to many different DJs and sounds. I think my DJ set is even fresher now...
