For this October's blood moon Mx. Blaire delivers a lush river of introspection. Through warm ambient tones, natural sonic treats, and tripped out dubby tracks, this set eases us inwards. The moon is in Aries, putting fire in our bellies and hearts, and Mx. Blaire's sonic bliss is the perfect backdrop for some lunar releasing. Write down everything you need to let go of to be your truest self and burn it up!

"I like to float through multiple genres during any given set and find joy moving through different sonic textures while keeping a fluid groove. I let my emotions flow through in sets to open up a conversation with listeners and dancers alike. A humble guide for helping healing bass tones and rejuvenating frequencies pass through speakers... I find myself drawn to the magic that’s released when humans convene together. When it comes to organizing events in Boston, I strive to curate environments where folks can release their inhibitions for true self-expression and encourage celebration of radical love."

So excited to have @ducktrash in for our 44th episode of FRiends and Family. For the concept behind the mix, take it straight from Duck:

"This mix illustrates alien abduction as a metaphor for the transgender experience. It's about being abducted by aliens and being stuck in transit going someplace far away, similar to the feeling of being trapped in the wrong body and unsure of the destination.

Born into a matriarchy of two immigrant grandmothers, the 'alien' abduction with an uncertain fate reaches to my machinations of the position my elders were put in as children too. My grandmothers' parents were sold the American Dream, but at what cost? The USA doesn't give a flying fuck about immigrants or about trans people... Will an alien just come carry me away already?

Harsh textures and ethereal sounds of yearning characterize this techno mix. Of course sprinkled with moments of laughter and terror, because when we can't cry anymore, we must laugh. Please enjoy this journey into the unknown, and thanks for tuning in <3"

Once we reach 69000 feet altitude you will be able to use the cabin lavatories where you will feel the vibrational pull strongest. Please be advised that it is normal to feel trash waves deep in your innards as the ship gets closer to the destination. 

Our final destination is Planet Trash, home of the Trashdance phenomenon. There you will find camp, discarded sound, and reclaimed-hetero-crap all colliding and re-animating at new speeds. 

Our flight attendants will soon come down the aisle to collect your leftover trash for re-actualization, and provide all passengers with entry forms so that you may declare any leftover inhibitions to aide with clearing Trash Dance Customs inspections.
