Stranded in the empty streets of Pripyat, she wandered aimlessly as stress took hold. Dead winds whistled in apartment bloc doorways as they carried the maddening hum of the Brain Scorcher.
For mere moments, she was caught in the riptide of a daydream, pulled into a sea of second-hand memories. Distorted transmissions of frightened radio operators, and the broken flutter of an MI-17 echoed and bounced off every sidewalk and window pane. The deafening roar of a reactor core lit ablaze rung in her ears, even miles upon miles away.
And then, as soon as they had found her - these moments in time left her, and she was alone once more.

I. Things I Thought I Never Saw (Covered in Burns)

You had finally gone too far - stepped on the toes of someone you shouldn't have. You let your cowardice control you, as all small men do.
Foolishly, you hid deep within the confines of Jupiter. Scared, alone and desperate. A panicked death-grip holds your rifle firmly in a readied position. The rumble of ancient soviet machinery is the only noise keeping your tinnitus at bay.
And yet, through the wall of muffled sound, you hear the unmistakable confirmation of your worst fear - someone or something is here. It couldn't possibly be her - could it?

Originally from the planned "Hotline Sascha" EP of various remixes and flips of Hotline Miami songs which was never seen through to completion - as was the stream it was originally to be a companion for.
