Future Architects — a new project by producers Angelina Rose and Florian— cultivate a world of diverse club bangers in the 4-track EP.

Both producers combine to create Future Architects — a new project forged between like-minded spirits with musical passions for driving dub techno and grounded in sweaty mid-nineties parties. 

Rose, a Hanover-based, Ukraine-born producer, brings her classically-educated depth with producer Florian—label head of Charmin Records and co-founder of Too Rough 4 Radio—where they explore their mutual love for raw and edgy dancefloor bangers.

Prophetic Dreams. Marking it as the second release on Rose’s label "Solid Wood", Dreams builds upon the label’s ethos, rooted in honest yet uncompromising music, with tracks that range from driving dub techno in "Unseen Realms," burning IDM breaks ("Renaissance"), ascending melodic techno house ("Universe"), and an experimental acid 2-stepper in the closer, "Hierophant."

After our brief hiatus, we're back with Brighton's finest, as Jamie Unknown takes back the torch for our 7th offering. Having seen great success with his previous release, Pleasures EP for QRUK002, Jamie's tracks have been doing damage on the dance floors as he's been developing his sound over the summer break. It's easy to see, when comparing the 2 EPs, how far his sound has come and that he is clearly etching his way to becoming an industry heavyweight.

Over on remix duties, the label's top banana, Tommy Sunsets, comes through with his NRG mix. After our biggest track yet 'Extraction', it was only right for Tommy to jump on this remix and add his own little spice and flava. Sunsets has added some harder drums and ravey chops whilst trying to maintain a lot of Jamie's original elements. QRUK007 has already gained a lot of attention in the promos and we're confident this will be our biggest release yet.

Dear friends, do you like gummy bears, squidgy strawbs, liquorice or rather marshmallows? Leipzig based producer Littlelake kicks off on Brombért with an EP, that has it all in its paper sleeve. “Mixed Bag” is a four tracker, which sounds like taking your sugar overdose from the candy store straight to your favourite warehouse party. With “Long Time Ago” and its gravitational drive, the funky lucidity of “Another Lovesong”, the splendid walking bass of “Padang Padang” or swinging sawtooth anthem “Yam Bean”, “Mixed Bag” is a typical Brombért-Release: rich in detail, engineered rigorously, nevertheless it always has a couple of screws loose. As Littlelake puts it himself: “Brombért looks a bit odd, but he’s actually very nice.” Physical release comes with handcrafted, screen printed artwork by fabulous graphic artist Zatina Kessl.

Classic Me has been producing off the radar for over a decade, and it’s with pride that LAN gives the German artist a spotlight for the first time.


‘Cycles’ is an eleven track exploration into the ways classical, house music and its adjacent genres play off one another. Unsurprisingly for an artist with experience playing the violin, the album leads both in tracklist and concept with cinematic strings, which then soar into groovy basslines and slouchy kicks.


Classic Me’s confidence in production is levelled by spontaneity in the recording process (sometimes casually recording from a tablet on the go). Mastered in Paris by engineer Marine Benabou, the result is an interesting balance between play and perfection: though many of the tracks hint at J Dilla or Moodyman with their suggestions of tape loops and sampling, the orchestration uses hyperreal acoustics to bring echoes of Daft Punk, millennial Chemical Brothers and French touch back into the mix. 


It’s this tying together of classical influences with dance music’s more classic elements - hip-hop melodies, deep house vocals, funk basslines and the brightness of disco - which make up the unique sound of Classic Me. Each track turns a different face of the prism toward the listener, weaving an album that is cinematic and wistful without losing sight of its groove.
