Spanish born and now Melbourne based duo 'Olivas' is the sum of equally wonderful parts Lucia and Teresa (Modulor). Hosts of weekly radio show 'Deep Digging' on KissFM, which is a fitting name put into meaning through their eclectic and heavily electronic influenced sets, filled with rarities. This live recording at Waxflower sees a pensive journey through deep, downtempo electro, house, and dreamy acid soundscapes. Melodies from the present and past.

For this month, Dean Chew is joined by Berlin-based selector Vio PRG. Originally from Romania, she has immersed herself actively in the music scene for the part decade , running a strong residency called Flight Mode at Renate, and also hosts a radio show by the same name on Refuge. Vio PRG hops on the 2nd half of the show with an hour-long mix full of house and progressive tech flavours. Tap in!

Khromata - Live at Friends and Family XXI 2017

It's not easy to explain the tension, the charged feeling, at the culmination of building, exploring, dancing, laughing, crying, and changing together for a week. Gathered around our psychedelic snail, Lucy S. Cargo (@lucythesnail), we watch the flames engulf the effigy that has been at the center of our city, of our lives for a week. The moon is almost full. The stars still shine. The fire is the brightest. The man and the columns of his temple fall. Movement begins to shift gradually from the heart and the mind, in waves towards the body.

There was plenty of time for deep reflection, now there is this. Mixing requires moving with friends surrounding me. Lucy shakes with the bass and the thumping of all the humans dancing on her back. I look up to greet in gratitude, the fire-spinners, hula hoopers, artists, dancers, makers, seekers friends old and new, all sorts of citizens of Black Rock City. Thank you all for surrounding us with your love.

This is the second part of an unplanned burn night set that is inspired only by the wonderful beings moving about, and the reminiscences from another trip around the sun. We know the dark to know the light. Transmute. That is the kind of cycle that ends, as a new one begins.

This week we are featuring our first of many live sets from the recent Breakfast of Champions event on New Years Day.  This mix is from Space Cowboy veteran Brad Robinson who played mid day inside the RIDE room.  Here are a few words from @djbradrobinson:

A lot of people will tell you that Breakfast of Champions is their favorite party of the year.  There is a reason why.  It's because there is so much love and positive energy packed into this party.  From the amazing guests that attend, to the artists that perform, to the event staff, and the Space Cowboy hosts that glue the whole thing together.  The cowboys have been throwing this party now for 18 years and while things come and go in San Francisco, I am proud to be a part of this group and iconic event.  As for the music, this is pure Brad Robinson through and through.  Enjoy it!
