The track “Smokin’ Love” opens with swirling piano chords, catchy lyrics highlighting the band’s signature dub sound. The track details multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer Scott Woodruff’s upbeat narrative of wanting to smoke with the one he loves, highlighted in the lyrics:

“I wanna get high, I wanna get low, come on I wanna smoke little spliff with you / Lord knows I’m not a fool, I’m just crazy for you.”

“Smokin’ Love” was recorded the same way as all their songs; in Woodruff’s home studio with each instrument individually recorded and layered in unison to one other. The band has previewed the track through their social media sites and have recently started playing it live.

How Many Women

It was summer of 2001, when brothers Clint and Allan decided to introduce their own music act and formed the now known 2Tone Band, performing onstage in different music bars and music clubs around the metropolis, thus the band "Mobster Manila" was born.

Since then, the group has performed in different bars and cafes. The Band was also a regular act of Rasta Manila a Reggae Scene & Back To The Edge a New Wave Scene.


The band was part of an independent compilation album called 8-Track Album. Their act was inspired by their deeply rooted passion for music, incorporating their talents and innovating their music by combining the highly danceable ska and rocksteady beat with punk's energy and attitude, -creating their very own - "MOB MUSIC". 


They're heavily influenced by the two-tone era of the 80's,New Wave and bands such as; The Specials, The English Beat, Madness, The Clash, The Selecter, The Untouchables, Social Distortion, Bad Manners, Stray Cats, The Cure, The Smiths and their favorite acts includes Elvis Presley, Tony Benett and Frank Sinatra. Presently the band has recorded some original songs for demos.
