His origins in producing RnG, and being an absolute fun guy who loves 90s euro sounds and magical synth lines, has resulted in many memorable releases throughout the years. His new one is no exception.

'Believe' sees Real Tears play to his strengths, intertwining spell-binding melodies and cinematic percussion with his signature sub-bass sounds. On the other hand, 'Fall Apart' is the perfect follow-up to 'Believe', equipping the release with a darker, club-ready cut that features blistering kicks, euphoric trance melodies and Tears' signature vocal chops.

The new release follows his 2020 offering, 'Need U', which, as is tradition with Real Tears, came loaded with a heart-melting original composition, followed by an infectious dance floor reimagining.

We’ll kick off 2022 with some high-tier breakbeat, bass music and rave; Introducing Energy Boyz from Vancouver.

Energy Boyz is the brainchild of Canadian producers Garneau & Destrata. What was initially a DJ project, quickly turned into an outlet for their collaborative originals.

While their solo music is relatively different they were brought together by their mutual love of breakbeats, electro, and low end frequencies.

Garneau has carved himself a name in the Chicago/ghetto house and electro scene by working with innovators like DJ Deeon & Parris Mitchell and operating his Club Designs label. Destrata is 1/3 of the Vancouver based collective Audio Social, which has been curating an outstanding mix series, as well as putting on a series of intimate shows. He has spent the last 2 years studying music production under Martyn's patreon course, and releases his debut EP earlier this year on Index Life.

The Energy Boyz don't take their rave music too seriously, but also want to make sure it bangs the party.

Club music is a worldwide phenomenon and we've been championing some of the best and most forward-thinking ghetto sounds over the years. Talk to any Baltimore native and they will give you names of Baltimore DJs such as K-Swift, Rod Lee, DJ Technics and King Tutt, just to name a few. But there is one name that rings out every time one of his tracks are played. From Baltimore to London S-s-s-Say-Wut; a Baltimore native, who has been making music scream at his listeners with hard hitting base, cutting sounds, and various instruments (especially horns) all comprising his energy filled music.

A celebrity in Baltimore, producer/DJ Say Wut began making Baltimore Club beats at the age of 17 with a PC and a low budget, he took his music to the DJs in local clubs and they began to spin these tunes and got instant reaction out of audiences city wide. He found his music quickly played in mixes on Baltimore’s "WERQ 92Q Jams" with other local producers such as Rod Lee, K.W. Griff and Blaqstarr.

As co-owner of Horsemen Entertainment, LLC, Say-Wut rocks parties all over the US expanding his name, company, and talent.. He is a producer for Baltimore based Unruly Records, Top Billin, Mad Decent, Man Recordings and many more labels.

Los Angeles legend Thee Mike B and Bmore club originator DJ Technics join forces to revisit music from the cult series The Wire.

We believe in the power of ghetto jams, it's a guideline that directs us through the years and as lovers of inner city music scenes and genres, this latest project/collaboration is exactly what we feel strongly about supporting . Both artists are legends in their own right, having deejayed and produced for ages and contributed to the rise of dance music on both coasts. 

LA native Thee Mike B has been involved in underground music since the late 90's and in 2011 was voted "Best Club DJ" by Los Angeles Magazine and he is often credited as a driving force behind bringing new electronic music back to the LA club scene. Mike has been a close Top Billin friend for years now and his work with labels like Fool's Gold or Play It Down (with Jesse Rose)  and his legendary mixtapes and DJ tools have kept Mike truly on the forefront of dance music.

A turntablist, a producer and the pioneer of what would become the sound of Baltimore club and Jersey club with the infamous “Dickontrol” beat pattern, that is heard in almost every ghetto club track made today, DJ Technics rarely needs any introduction. Having already spent 32 years on turntables and produced numerous Bmore classics on both vinyl and digital, Technics likes to remind to always keep experimenting. His love for disco and soul can be heard through out this tracks, which is exactly why Technics and Top Billin make a perfect match.

Remixes on this release are equally hot, from Bromance Records affiliates Pipes club mix, Australian powerhouse Wordlife's deeper house cut, Top Billin Soundsystem's bass-heavy grime mix and DJ Technics own interpretation of his classic, we already consider this as a contender for the record of the year.

We can call this 'music revisited', or we can call it  nouveau club music, but we don't really care. And in any case, The Wire is still the best show in the history of television.

CUNT: (adj) a term used in gay slang to describe someone who is impressive, original or fantastic in regards to style or demeanour.

How would you define cunt? In the world of ballroom and vogue "cunt" is a term of praise, a compliment, and make no mistake, Cvnt Traxxx is "cunt" in all the right ways.

Cvnt Traxxx is one of the UK's longest running vogue DJs, spinning at various balls and vogue functions since 2010. He is resident DJ at House Of Suarez Ball, the UK's longest running vogue function and London's Realness, the capital's premiere vogue night hosted by the House Of Lady Di, as well as playing at balls for Menergy, Vogue Brawl and London's legendary Horse Meat Disco. He has also DJ'd vogue functions in Berlin and Paris and beyond.

He has also shared bills with some of the most legendary figures in the world of ballroom, including Vjuan Allure, MikeQ and Jack Mizrahi, and regularly joins the House Of Trax/Trax Couture family in London to play alongside residents Rushmore and Fools and guests like Dreams, Evil Streets, Akito and Joey LaBeija. In addition to his DJ gigs he has recently completed high-profile mixes for I-D Magazine and FACT Mag.

We've been impressed with Cvnt's music since his tracks and remixes on Nervous, Knightwerk, Trax Couture, Body Work, and his fire mixtapes, so we're happy have him on board for his Top Billin debut single, featuring the vocals by Philadelphia's ballroom kingpin Sugur Shane.

The single itself is a jerking piece of New York and Jersey tribal house, keeping it pumping and hypnotic all the way through. With its distorted ghetto house production, Sugur Shane's whooping vocals and some classic 90s samples in the mix, it may be hard but it is most definitely "cunt": music for the club or the runway.

Catchy vocal juke music from the new skool Chicago crew.

Chicago house music is staple, but how well do we know vocal juke from the same area. As long time supporters of ghetto house and all its sub genres, we're happy to present this single from Chi-towns finest, Maddjazz & D-51. We were first introduced to the guys through their crew Ghetto Division crew who represent the new sound of the midwest, and we’ve always liked the well crafted sounds of house, juke, ghetto tech and club music the guys have been crafting.

Maddjazz has been honing his style since 1996. Influenced by these early raves as well as his start in the turntablism scene where he won or placed in numerous DJ battles in the attempt to find inventive ways to showcase the emergent Chicago sound. In 2007 Maddjazz played an important role in forming the DJ and production crew Ghetto Division with his partners D-51, Rampage, Rob Threezy and others. In 2013 & 2015 respectably Maddjazz was selected to compete in the Red Bull Thre3style DJ championships where he placed 2nd in the Chicago qualifier both years, which made a statement that he is one of the best that Chicago has to offer.

DJ and producer Directive51 (also known as D-51) was created at Hot Jams Records in 2007, and the purpose and objective of D-51 has always been to control the dance floor and influence Chicago style music worldwide. With his notorious styles of juke, hip-hop, house and freestyle, this skilful producer has been making a name for himself lately alongside his windy city crew.

The single featuring the vocals by funny and talented Bobby Bushay is catchy as hell, keeping us singing 'back to a week ago' over and over, and bringing us memories of the Dance Mania days. Remember ‘Six Foe - Seasons’? Yeah, we do too. This new single is equally catchy and definitely a future classic in its own genre. Remixes in this pack come from Paris, Tokyo and Helsinki with such genre trailblazers as Kaptain Cadillac, Keito and Top Billin naturally.

A year ago we got invited to a Facebook group by a friend, who told us that this is the group where ‘new club music lives’. We’re not easily pulled into the latest gimmicks in the net, but you know, magic word ‘club’ got our interest. This group was called Classical Trax. Founded by Matt aka DJ DJ Rueckert, this clique (and today a collective of DJs and producers and a dope website) has now become the go-to place for many in discovering new talent and making connections around the world.

Classical Trax is not your average forum for all kinds of productions, but concentrated mainly on club music, grime, riddims and bass music, keeping an sharp eye on what’s happening in the club-oriented scene rather than in the EDM circus around the world. Classical Trax compilations have been featured at Resident Advisor, Fact, Thump Complex, Hypetrack and a list of other publications have been giving support for Classical Trax crew already.

As we are on an ongoing quest to find the latest and most forward-thinking music on this planet, and this new collaboration with one of the finest crews is again a great milestone and will bear many fruitful collaborations with the future stars of contemporary club music.

The future of Japanese club music rests assuredly in good hands. Since 2012 we have worked on 3 different projects (and some) with the finest Japanese club crew, Trekkie Trax. There has been 2 fine compilations and a solo ep release from the most productive member of the crew,  Carpainter. Now we’re happy to drop his second solo with some extra special remixes to go with it, Japan, Scandinavia and US together.

Moving in the territory of garage, juke, trap and bass music, Carpainter has developed a very distinguished sound for himself. Keeping dance floors lit with his non-compromising and challenging tracks has earned him the mantle of one of the new school bass music chieftains in Japan.

Since his first Top Billin release, Carpainter has been in high demand, releasing singles & remixes on labels like Lucky Me, Activia Benz, Maltine Records, L2S Recordings, and even an album on Trekkie Trax. His tracks have also been featured regularly on BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, NTS Radio, Block FM and on many more forward-thinking medias alike, and DJ support has been overwhelming whatever he decides to put out.

The remixes in this pack come from talented newcomer and Nest HQ affiliate GRRL, our own Baltic beat maker NiklavZ, and label manager Heikki’s jungle alter-ego DJ Pinball. Trayvon Washington known as Dj Tray from Cartel Crew New Jersey (with DJ Sliink, Hot Rod, ClubHeadSliim etc), is a DJ and producer and has been producing dancefloor crackin club music for a few years now. Before making club he worked on rap beats but eventually he wanted to try something different, so he got started making club ranging from R&B -sampling sweet stuff to that fight music popular at clubs. He's creative with his music because he don't want his production to follow the usual norms of ghetto club vibes. People always ask Tray who taught him how to make club music or anything. He taught himself to do everything. Music has has always been his talent. He has a lot of beats in his mind that will make the club rumble.

JUNO REVIEW:
For this very exciting six track selection, the team at Top Billin have arranged a tight collection of the weird and undefinable, yet somehow manage to release a cohesive body of work at the same time. Firstly, the booming bass drums, choppy breaks and subby leads of TRDV's 'Deadlines' take the lead, followed by a funky garage fusion by the name of 'Submarine's from Murder He Wrote. Next up, we move further into the stripped back garage themes as Tony Quatro unleashes the lethal subs of 'September' before the bouncy carnival drum work of Pl4net Dust's 'Daebak' is let loose. The flavours then take another unexpected turn as a Rodigan vocal sample gives way to a moody breaks driven original from Garneau entitled 'WH1', before funky feels of Niklavz round everything up smartly in 'Soundboy Notifications'.
