This Friday, the national Dutch chart show Top 40 has a remarkable new entry. Radio 538, market leader in The Netherlands premieres with a new jingle package. The Top 40 marks the ultimate weekend kick-off, playing the forty most popular songs of the week. The current and diverse styles of today’s songs now majorly influence the dynamic and uplifting chart show imaging. 

The custom jingle dept. of Top Format cooperated closely with Radio 538 host Jeroen Nieuwenhuize and imaging director Chris Hartgers in order to create the best chart show package. The package exists from main ID’s, shotguns, personality ID’s and an astounding set of talk-over beds. This brand new package contains over 200 different elements. Besides the weekly 40 best songs, the iconic Top 40 show opener song is completely re-designed and arranged to become a massive hit at its own!

EKDOM IN THE MORNING / NPO RADIO 2

An alarm clock, scrambled eggs, loads of coffee and host Gerard Ekdom! Workdays start better with ‘Ekdom In The Morning’ at national public broadcaster NPO Radio 2. In the summer of 2015 the preparations for the new morning show started off with a pitch for their jingles and audio imaging.
Triggered by the passion, vibe of a new morning show, Spotify playlist and briefing of team Ekdom, Top Format developed a unique pitch entry. The ultimate morning mood full of positivity, guts, power and above all: goose bumps! The results have such a convincing radio feel that the pitch in collaboration with Peter Kok and Gerard Ekdom turned into awesome morning show jingles!
The custom jingle package for BNN VARA on NPO Radio 2 includes:
3 Show themes, 5 Daily show songs, 18 Sweeps and 3 Morning IDs.
The jingles and songs are created in collaboration with Top Format’s musicians, composers and producers. The lyrics of the songs and sweeps breathe the typical "Ekdom” feeling, thanks to the writers of Top Format, and guarantee a brand new steamy start of each workday.

Goeiemorgen Lex is the daily morning show at Radio 10 in The Netherlands, hosted from 06.00 - 09.00 by Lex Gaarthuis, Lex Landeweerd and their man of the news: Harry van der Heijden

The multi award winning ánd Holland's most enthusiastic radio icon Bert Haandrikman started his brand new show at NPO Radio 2 in The Netherlands early 2017. Every weekend 'Hier Is Haandrikman' interacted with listeners and highlights the storylines of the day. Most important: Bert was making Saturdays and Sundays feel good with the ultimate weekend playlist!  

Dutch public broadcaster KRO-NCRV commissioned Top Format Productions to compose and produce the personality theme for Bert Haanrdikman at NPO Radio 2.

For public broadcaster KRO-NCRV, Paul Rabbering hosts his afternoon weekend show 'Paul' at NPO Radio 2.  In the 2 thrilling hours listeners battle in the famous music-competition 'Popduel' and Paul invites live acts to make some awesome tunes in the studio.

We had a blast working closely with Paul and his team, creating a custom weekend show-song ánd many many mix-outs:)

PRESS RELEASE – THE SENSE OF BRABANT
Dutch Public Broadcaster Omroep Brabant has been tremendously renewed in April 2017. The pure and authentic brand of “Brabant” integrates  online, television and radio in 1 contemporary product for all types of media. The primetime shows are broadcasted live from a state of the art studio on both radio and television.

As part of the strategic innovation, Top Format Productions created a series of over 26 custom made jingles. All of them recorded live and created specifically around Omroep Brabant's very recognizable Pop format.

The making of this massive jingle package is the result of a pitch. Dave Albers of Top Format: “Pitching strategically on such an extensive project is a great opportunity to combine our refreshing musical skills with our strategic experience. Luckily Omroep Brabant judged our work on contemporary creation. We drenched all jingles with recognizable hooks and made Omroep Brabant innovator in a development which is on the march; the musically recognizable jingles”.

“Omroep Brabant and Top Format have reinvented themselves. We have been working for weeks to reposition the fresh and warm feel of our proud Brabant media brand. The result? The genuine feeling of this region. It sounds great and I’m proud of it!”

The compositions are made entirely in-house, recorded with a striking number of musicians. The hooks have all been recorded with live Strings, brass and guitars.

The Omroep Brabant jingles consists of 26 Full Versions. Each composition is mixed as a Full Ramp, Basic ID, Shotgun and Rapid Fire.

NPO Radio 2 - On The Beat - Aircheck

Since June 2017 the National Icelandic Broacasting Service (RÚV) added a Dutch statement to their radio landscape. The new jingles for the highest-rated radio station in the market: RÁS 2 (Channel 2). 

Frank Hall, program director of RÚV: “Our radio station is quite unorthodox, with a very broad demographic (25-60), music enthusiasts, urban and rural. The work and communication have been very professional. And evenmore: the tracks Top Format created are ‘spot on’ and make us sound like a million dollars, very pro!”

Dave Albers, creative director of Top Format: “Thrilled to work for such a respected brand as RÁS 2. In our long distance relationship the new approach of creating jingles succeeded. We payed close attention to the variety of music styles, local influences, worked with a new generation of live musicians, formed ánd recorded Native vocalists in Reykjavik: the cooperation with RÚV makes us feel like proud Dutch pioneers.”

Rás 2 commissioned Top Format Productions to create a serie of 11 custom made jingles. Each composition is mixed as a Full Ramp, Basic ID, Shotgun and Rapid Fire.
