This cover song of OMC's infamous 1996 hit "How Bizarre' is the first track TOPICS ever collaborated on.  Although we are not a cover band in a global sense, we feel this track represents the essence of our spirit. It is technically the bonus track to our full length LP  "youth shield antioxidant complex."

HOW BIZARRE

“G” was a song originally inspired by a mutual friend – a quirky, fun and talented artist. The song eventually became expansive into a more universal idea of a mythical beast named G who lives inside all of our laptops and hearts. TOPICS love imaginative ideas, especially to the fast-paced feel good momentum of a new-wave drum beat and bass line. Toronto-based wind instrument talent Marcus Ali afforded his skills on the flute for a dreamy, mystical, nostalgic close to the track.

This is a song about the mystical and psychedelic presence (or non-presence) of the Saskatchewan prairies. It is also about love.
