I wrote this piano piece in the quiet days after Jamie’s passing, my dearest companion and the finest male soul I have ever known.

I tried to put into music what I couldn’t say in words: the stillness of an empty room, the soft steps I still expect to hear, the love that lingers even after loss. It’s a simple composition, born of grief and gratitude: a fragile attempt to turn loss into sound, to keep him close for a little while longer, and to let the notes whisper the farewell I could never bring myself to say.


Recorded and mixed in Reaper, with final mastering through TDR Nova, TDR Kotelnikov, Analog Obsession Konsol, Dragonfly Room, LoudMax, and Voxengo SPAN.
