This is my Legends Special - Nomas & Friends. What can I say about Nomas? Ever since I heard his tunes being played on JOOF Radio I have been an absolute fan. Much like FUENKA, Nomas' musical style really hits the mark for me. His tunes and remixes have been amazing, especially with his collaborations with D.J. MacIntyre and Basil O'Glue. This duo have created some absolutely amazing tunes together. 

So this is a mix dedicated to the awesome talent that is Nomas. Truly a musical legend, now and for the decades to come. I went looking for extra tunes for this mix and discovered Rain (his first ever tune) and Moonlight - the piano solo in this tune is truly wonderful; and Nomas' bootleg remix of 4-Strings - Take Me Away is definitely my favourite.

I would love it of more artists made an outro mix of a tune or two so I can, funnily enough, mix out on that track. But ah well. Falling Together worked well at the end.

Legends Special - Nomas & Friends

I'm not a professional DJ and unfortunately cannot afford to renew SoundCloud Premium so I've dropped back to the free version, for now. I will go back uploading my sets to Mixcloud - even if I prefer this platform. I attempted to live stream during COVID lockdowns but my internet connection sucks; plus my live streams were getting copyright strikes all the time and muted to hell and back only a few hours afterwards so I just record these sets offline and upload them afterwards if they're any good. So it hasn't been easy trying to grow as a DJ. :'(

I started enjoying dance music back in the mid nineties, going to on the spot or illegal raves when I lived in Kent, UK. The music was pretty good sometimes; other times that wasn't what I was interested in - if you get my drift. ;-)

After a few years of not even listening to any electronic music at all I started getting back into Trance and Progressive House and started going up to London on the weekends with my mates to visit clubs such as Bagleys, Renaissance, Camden Palace, Sunnyside Up and the legendary Turnmills, home of The Gallery.

I eventually moved to London to be where the music was and ended up getting involved with some of the clubs, basically because I hung out there so much they got to know me. These included Sunnyside Up, The Gallery, Twisted, Live2Dance, Mind Over Matter, Frantic and many more.

My primary genres are ambient, breaks, progressive house, melodic techno, techno, progressive trance,, trance, psy-trance and hard dance.

I purchased a Hercules Inpulse 500 in December 2020 and have got stuck in ever since. I use the DJUCED software that comes with the DJ controller but it's not without its issues. Compared to my mate's S1500 Denon decks it's a kid's toy but I work with what I have.
