Toquon Tha MC of Soul Elevation is known for being a host, hype man, and an extremely talented rapper. “GOT LUV” was the first single he released independently in 2005 with Producer JC in New York as Soul Elevation.

He is responsible for breaking in the culture of Hip Hop in Manila as he toured the Philippines.
 Toquon’s artistry has been showcased at the largest music festivals, hottest club venues, and celebrity private parties throughout the US, Australia, China, Dubai and Sri Lanka.

As a worldwide traveler Toquon has been able to make a career from his passion of music. He has graced the stage with some of the biggest names in music like KRS ONE, Kendrick Lamar, The Roots, The Black Eyed Peas, Common, and LL Cool J to name a few. Toquon was also known for hosting his weekly Podcast/TV show StacksTV in partnership with B-Real TV of (Cypress Hill) StacksTV also being picked up by cable television network MYX.TV which reaches over twelve million homes across the U.S. He’s interviewed actor Danny Glover, Hip Hop legends De La Soul, Faith Evens and Kendrick Lamar.

In 2004-2005 Toquon was the voice of BET’s Comic View bringing out the then host J.Anthony Brown as well as performing the Intro song that aired six nights a week. His album “Luv, Peace & Soul Elevation” created a buzz in the Hip Hop community promoting, hosting and performing at MGM grand, Rock the Bells, BB King, the DUB Car Shows, The Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood and the House of Blues.

Toquon has also been the MC/host in major clubs in Los Angeles such as The Key Club, Chillers, Club Nokia, and The Century Club. He has also hosted major events such as Long Beach Queen Mary FreeStyle festival, L.A.Live concerts events, the BET awards official after party, Rock the Bells festivals, Kanye West Release Party, Manny Pacquiao’s official after Party in Las Vegas, Bit.com(Blacks In Technology)held in the city of Miniapolis and StemFest for Health awareness. He enjoys lending his MC skills working as the hype man for legendary acts such as KRS ONE, Melanie Fiona, Dj Spinderella from Salt-N-Pepa and his own DJ and long time partner DJ Icy Ice of the world famous Beat Junkies and Power106. Toquon is also currently apart of and touring with legendary British band Loose Ends featuring Jane Eugene.

Toquon has also played an important role in the city of Los Angeles educational institutions and churches where he has lectured as a guest speaker on the culture and history of Hip Hop, which he follows with a private performance. The city of Carson awarded Toquon for his participation and involvement in the 2010 Teen Conference held in the Carson Convention Center.

Superior showmanship, quick-witted lyricism, and smooth and powerful flow on the mic has made Toquon a sought-after underground fixture in the Hip Hop scene. His reputation, along with an electrifying stage presence, has made him extremely successful in his art. Toquon Tha MC has undoubtedly earned the support from the underground Hip Hop and Reggae communities of Los Angeles.
 Toquon has also taken it as his responsibility to raise youth awareness of the music and culture he believe in as well as trying to keep its true essence as he creates music today.
