Adam Neely brought me here. Good shit. I love the sound. I think being only parallel voices does leave this song without a good sense of a journey. It's a little flat.

Very nice! (From Neely, too.) The thing is, that at this level of detail, the difference between arpeggios and real chords make all the world of a difference. Arpeggios give a lot more freedom and variability to a single chord. They are not even parallel any more, in fact, that is *exactly* what arpeggios do: serializing parallel sets of notes.
