I wrote this song 1st year at High School back in March 1996 when I was sixteen. It was written for a trio-band I was involved with called "Jasså" existing of Espen Hermansen, Målfrid Breivik and myself. The song was used on radio, concerts and the show "En Liten Historie". The song was written on an acoustic guitar and have always been played with piano, acoustic guitar and vocal. So with this recording, with my iPhone, I wanted to turn it into a more band version with more electric elements. The lyrics, in Norwegian, were written by the sixteen year old version of myself and bears the youth`ish/teenage expression. But on the other hand: It dwels on heavy topics you likely won`t expect to hear from a teenager.

This is an edit of my song from 2016 with more guitar, another key and new vocal.

My description from 2016:
«The song is about returning home. "Heimatt" means "Home again". I based the story around my own story: I live in Ås in Akershus but I`m from Gol in Hallingdal. Hallingdal is a place/valley in Buskerud, Norway.
The riff was written during autumn vacation at Gol and since then I`ve been working on the composition (week 40 in 2016). I started on the lyrics yesterday, and when I decided to write it on the local dialect `Halling` the words came out quickly. The theme is about driving the road and coming home to meet all old friends and trying to gather as many as possible».

This is a place for my song ideas and demos. Some are complete, some are "work-in-progress", some instrumental and others with words. All songs are recorded and mixed with an iPhone with iRig, apps and instruments played by me. I have written a lot of songs during my career - these songs only reflects my sparetime during a period from september 2015:) I`m not a singer - but I use my voice on these recordings to complete the compositions with melody and words. 

Why do I do this? Well, whenever I get an musical idea I have this need to record it - cleansing my mind for new ideas. Lots of ideas never reach a project or a proper recording ...so I see this as my gift to the listeners; free music:)
