A taster of what to expect from my DJ set at Phreek rave I am starting off in Tbilisi on 7 May. A selection of house music from my personal collection of vinyl records. Some garage house here, some Romanthony there, some deep house here etc. You get the gist.

DJ in London playing Disco, House, Techno and anything in between. Most importantly music with soul. 

We all want to live in this fantasy past where Larry Levan is playing some Kenny Dixon Jr re-work of some Arthur Russell song that doesn't actually exist.

Phreek is a monthly, members only, not-for-profit celebration parties in Tbilisi for all the freaks out there and their allies who do not necessarily fit into socially acceptable "norms".
Any "profit" from the parties will be donated to charities fighting against racism, domestic abuse and discrimination of marginalised parts of our society.

Phreek is inspired by David Mancuso’s The Loft and Nicky Siano’s The Gallery of early 70s New York City and their ethos of people coming together and having fun, regardless of their background.  No one can recreate what these NYC parties created and Phreek is not about imitating and glorifying the past, but it is about connecting the past to the present.
