This is an excerpt from an experimental musical that showed off Broadway back in 2011.  What I loved about this musical was that there was a 32 bar drum solo in the middle!  This track was recorded in my home studio using my special drum sample library.  

Dark Party Drum Solo - Weimarband

​This song is full of cinematic drama, and evokes sounds from the Middle East, with the sound of Mariachi horns thrown in for spice.  This is the only song on the album that has what remotely resembles a drum solo.

I created this track in my personal project studio, playing all of the drums and percussion live.  Along with the traditional drum set, I play bongos, shaker, a small clay frame drum, Tibetan bowls and prayer bells, and a fun Chinese toy drum on a stick.

This is a drum and percussion collage.  I first played a solo on the drums, then added a bunch of percussion, like shakers, Nepalese drum, sound effects, etc.  I basically had a bunch of fun in my home studio

Greetings!  My name is Patrick Carmichael, and I'm a drummer and composer living in Brooklyn, NY.  There are many sides to the music I compose, but I like to feature strong and catchy melodies, and it's almost all instrumental.  The drummer side of me likes a groovy pocket at times, but there's a melodramatic side of me that loves lush harmonies and big cinematic textures.
