Spaniards Gustaff & Hector Diez join forces on Unnamed & Unknown for their ‘I Got The Groove’ EP.

A duo of Spanish talent mark the next release on Portuguese imprint Unnamed & Unknown as Gustaff & Hector Diez combine to deliver an impressive four-tracker titled ‘I Got The Groove’. The release comes with several individual productions alongside the collaborative title cut, showcasing a captivating exhibition of underground tech house flavours from start to finish. 

Kicking off with the lead track, ‘I Got The Groove’ jumps straight into an energetic display of percussive-focused rhythms and playful twists in its arrangement. The track builds around expanding textures and climatic builds, complemented by an onslaught of pulsating sub-bass, cleverly placed vox chops and subtle tonal features. 

Diez rides solo on the following two tracks, beginning on ‘Get Down’ with its immersive undulating drum grooves, massive low-end drive and catchy vocal hook before moving on to ‘Start It Up’, adding more swing, endless cadence and summertime-laced melodic elements throughout. 

Gustaff closes the release with ‘Zona Rosa’, delivering a clean-cut terrace roller with punchy drums and a rich tapestry of intricate percussive movement. Another track with a sun-kissed feel, layered with funky licks and huge drops.
