Warped journey into the falsified memory implants of the replicants.
Sci-Fi Improvisation. 
This track was made with all of Gunnar Ekornas's  Memorymoon Synths (including upcoming ME80v2) plus Arppe 2600, Minimogue VA and NI Reaktor Prism.  

Memory Cushion & Binary Flesh Fusion

This is semi atonal CS80 style piece starting from an atonal patch I made for Memorymoon ME80v2.1.  It is in the "Extra bank" 
It is an Atonal sound patch in the style of Vangelis's (rather Marmite album)Beaubourg. 
 I mess around with the sound in real time while changing temporary CC mapped controls on the midi keyboard. Single take recorded into Audacity.


Beaubourg Machine (ME80 v2.1)

Back using my favourite synth. 
Tonight I added one instance of Memorymoon ME80 v2.1 as a lead sound. 
The ME80 track was the first take so tonight I have spent more time recording the track than performing it!
Previously I added the (sample Instrument) Bass guitar, electric piano and soft synth layers (old version). 
The backing track (Some great pads and percussion) is "Collab Me" from Wiesolator (a hardware synth guy).  It will be interesting to hear what others do with it.
I have called the finished track City Nights.

Do Android Sheep Dream Of Retirement!
Original Theme tune by Rob James G for an imaginary sequel to Blade Runner/Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep.

This is a new mix of the track I created several months ago. I am a bit happier with this version; let's call it the "Director's Cut", by no means the "Final Cut".

This track heavily features the new Memorymoon ME80 v2.1 plugin synth (notably the lead sounds) amongst others.  

Main theme based on my earlier track "Spinning to the Heavens". 
Gunnar Ekornas aided by Chris Kerry has done a brilliant job emulating the CS80 sound. I have created several ME80 sounds as used on this track, notably classic CS80 style lead brass sounds.



Do Android Sheep Dream Of Retirement (Mix B)

July 2015: D.A.S.D.O.R track composed, arranged, produced and performed by Rob James G.
Featuring 8 instances of ME80v2 synthesizer.

Also: 1 x Retrologue (sequencer)
FM8 Strings
NI Prism (string FX)
 Sequenced drums produced with Sample Tank 3. 

Non sequenced sections performed on Roland MIDI keyboard with expression pedal, breath controller for aftertouch function and ribbon controllers.

Rise Of The Replicants (ME80 Lead and FX)

Quickie collaboration with Wiesolator. 
Based on Wiesolator's track "Only An Idea" this is my addition to the theme.

All additional sounds are created in soft synths, no samples or sample instruments. All sounds played via MIDI keyboard with mapped controls to keyboard sliders and pot's, ribbon controls and expression pedal.

Five additional individual instrument tracks recorded tonight, no editing, retakes or automation. In the spirit of the original track this is just a quickie!

Beyond (Part 1)

After comments on Beyond (part 1)  I changed direction with this track and went all out creating a "Knowing" homage track in the style of Jean Michel Jarre.
It all sounds very familiar but these sounds are all created in the usual soft synths.
2 instances of U-HE Diva, 1 x U-HE Ace, swirling, bubbling effects made in Retrologue and synth1.
CR78 drum machine from Kontakt5.
Reverb is from NI Reflektor.
