Sabo and his label Sol Selectas welcome Ayala (IT) for an EP with three original tracks along with solo remixes by Sifa, Chambord and Animal Trainer.

Ayala (IT)was previously featured on the Sol Selectas Summer Sol compilation with his track “Levante” that showcased his afro house style that blends upbeat tribal percussion with melodic synths and traditional instruments from around the world.

Each of the three originals take influence from aboriginal culture and fuses it with modern electronic sounds to create a sonic tapestry that tells ancient stories with a contemporary twist. Based in Italy, Ayala (IT) has also featured tracks on other imprints such as MoBlack Records, Sirin Music and Sony Music.

French duo Chambord have also featured on Summer Sol compilations, and make their return with a mystic remix in the style they have featured on the likes of Akbal Music and Kindisch. 

Second of the originals, “Sacred Piano” has heavy percussion and distant trumpets that surround bass heavy piano chords. Loose and free-flowing, this ever-evolving slice of tribal house is tailor made for club sound systems, while also telling the story of jungle life.

Chambord refines Sacred Piano with a version that strips back some of the original's elements and brings the trumpets into focus to create a Balearic vibe perfect for bringing in the sunset.

Hidden from prying eyes, the tools acquired a magical invisibility veil. Its touch is not detected even by the most sensitive receptors, and the soft fibres follow precisely the anatomical contour and reflect any kind of radiation. Now it will not be difficult to bypass the security of hard-to-reach objects. A trifle from an antique shop has been waiting for its owner since it was found at the archaeological site of the Warlock tribe.

A career spent DJing across the globe was the catalyst for Damian Lazarus’s latest project – Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons. Masterminded by Lazarus the album brings together a wide assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world. Taking inspiration from Lazarus's Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico, this is music for deserts, jungles and sunrises.

Kicking off in LA, Lazarus was joined at the production controls by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Florence) as the album moved to London, and then final recording sessions completed in Mexico . The resulting album, ‘Message From the Other Side’, is a revelation. It runs the gamut from the wonderful Qawwali-flavoured techno of last year’s alternative dance hit ‘Lovers Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)’ to the African-tinged house of ‘Sacred Dance of the Demon’, dense dark ambient of ‘Inner Core’, and the bubbling depths of forthcoming single Vermillion, this is a rich and ambitious album. Lazarus brought together the widest range of musicians to achieve his goals. Initially there was Moses Sumney, an LA singer-songwriter and guitarist whose vocals light up the dynamic deep house groove of ‘Vermillion’, and the epic closing number, ‘Tangled Web’. Lazarus’s long-standing friend and associate Ali Love, contributes vocals to the soulful groove of ‘We Will Return’. Other collaborations came from further afield. Hossam Ramzy, an Egyptian master- percussionist, most famous for his work on Jimmy Page and Robert Plant’s ‘No Quarter’ album laid down the amazing rhythm tracks for the Ancient Moons. ELEW (Eric Lewis), an American jazz pianist played a ‘treated piano’ in an unexpected, experimental way. Lazarus and Ford turned to Andrew Waterworth, double bassist with the acclaimed Penguin Café for the album’s lush string arrangements courtesy of Mexico’s Yucatan Symphony Orchestra.

Hoj's EP on All Day I Dream has been a long time coming. After over 15 years as a DJ, this EP marks Hoj's official release. 

Telefade is a track that Hoj had been evolving for some time. After a final session with Modd, Hoj took the track to Burning Man where he played it for the first time. Lee Burridge heard it and signed the tune on the spot. Featuring haunting vocals from Amega.

The second track on the EP is called Leap Day, named for the day in 2016 that Hoj began it. Made for sunrises and sunsets, the tune weaves through lush melodies  with a bounce. Powel's delicate and refined touch brings a sophistication to Leap Day.

Montreal-based artist Kora (@kora-musique) takes to his own Saisons (@saisonsmusique) imprint to unveil a collaboration with Wuachuma (@wuachuma) and Keli Amarai titled 'Caroussel'. The track showcases a deep and ethereal house sound that's been synonymous with the Canadian talent. The rolling sythn-laden gem follows on from Kora and Wuachuma's inaugural collaboration 'Nuit d'Afrique', and their much lauded Tale & Tone outing 'Naavi'. Now with the additional musical talents of Keli Amarai, the emotive ballad is given delicate and organic touch making it primed for late night excursions on the dancefloor.

'Caroussel' will be released February 11.
