These songs are written and recorded by Martin Jones. They are only intended as roughs in advance of formal recording in the studio. All songs were written many moons ago but have been dusted off and tidied up with the aim of finally doing a half decent recording....

They have been recorded on a Boss Micro BR-80 (hence the clunky drum sounds of the drum machine), being fed from a Soundcraft Spirit Studio mixing desk (for those who can remember the days of analogue desks).

Tortoise Productions as an entity has been in existence since the mid 1990's. It was started by Martin Jones in Bollington, UK. 

Initially, set up as a front for Martin's sound engineering work with the local community, it comprises a recording facility, live sound engineering, installation services and equipment hire. 

In 2008, Martin moved to Australia but the services originally offered are all still available. 

Acts with whom Martin has worked with (most of which have come and gone) include: Exalt, Oblivious, Absolutely Clueless, emotion, Hazzard, Jesus 101.

Since his teenage years Martin has also been a songwriter, a number of which are presented on this site. Most of them are in a pretty raw state but hopefully some will get your feet tapping. Martin's aim is to one day get them recorded in his 24 track facility. This has been an aim for many years and, as with many things in life, has yet to be realised.
