Hans Nieswandt(한스 니스반트)는 디제이 컬쳐, 뮤직 프로덕션, 대중 음악 저술 분야의 전설적인 인물이자, 독일과 그 외 지역에서 높이 평가되고 있는 저명한 인물이다. 그는 80년대 후반 독일에서 일찍이 하우스 음악의 선구자로서 DJ로 활동하며 그에 대해 영향력 있는 매거진 Spex에서 글을 썼다. 90년대 초반에는 Spex에서 수석 편집자로서 일하기도 하였다.

 한편, 솔로이자 그룹으로도 활동했던 Whirlpoop Productions으로 수많은 음반을 녹음 하였고, 특히 오늘날 클래식으로 여겨지는 “From Disco To Disco” 트랙은 이탈리아 음원 사이트 1위, 그 외 여러 나라 차트 10위 안에 들면서 세계적인 기록을 남겼다.

 디제이로서 그의 폭은 넓고 깊다. 그의 셋은 보통 디스코, 하우스, 테크노를 중심으로 이루어지지만, 히피 음악, 포크, 재즈, 소울, 레게, 포스트 펑크, 바로크 팝, 일렉트로닉, 더 나아가 컨트리 음악과 그 외의 즐길 수 있는 장르까지 아우르기도 한다.

 디제잉과 뮤직 프로덕션 외에도 그는 수많은 에세이와 글을 출판한 작가이다. (이 중에는 독일 디제이 컬쳐와 전자음악에 대해 쓴 성공적인 책 3권이 포함된다.) 그의 일환으로 2017년 디스코 뮤직에 대한 에세이는 International Music Journalism Award를 수상했다.

 한편, 그는 2014년부터 2019년까지 신예 팝 뮤지션들의 석사 과정을 위해 새로 설립된 Folkwang University of Arts의 Institute for Pop-Musik에서 설립자로서 활동 하였지만, 2019년 크리스마스에 그는 학계를 떠났고 그의 고향인 쾰른을 떠나 서울로 이주했다. 지금 그는 서울에 거주하며 새로운 음악 작업과 책을 쓰며 한국을 탐험하고 있다.

'There is no need to talk'

Keikee is a DJ and Electronic Dance Music Producer from Seoul, South Korea, closely connected to the Circle Rotary collective and a familiar presence on the decks at the clubs of the vibrant underground scene, such as Cakeshop, Contra, Soap, Pistil (Seoul) and Output (Busan).

In 2021, Keikee relocated to Cologne, Germany, and began studying at the Pop Institute of Folkwang University Of Arts. Within just a few months, Keikee had already made her presence known at some of Cologne's most established Electronic Music venues and events, including Gewölbe (alongside Curses), Odonien (alongside Caleesi), Jaki (formerly Studio 672), Acephale and Dublab Radio. Plus, notable festival slots at Zugvögel Udenbreth, Eifel, and Bucht der Träumer Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg.

Keikee's deep connection to club music and its people translate into truly immersive DJ sets that connect the audience and DJ to the moment, with an approach to DJing that is as simple as it is beautiful, drawing solely from the true origin and point of club nights: Emotional communication through music, and the intention to create and share a welcoming & embracing atmosphere and space to share where "There is no need to talk".

Keikee is reclaiming an often-forgotten promise the club scene has always offered, and her demand could hardly be more topical.

Keikee's DJ sets are playful and energetic and thoroughly explore sounds & genres that are new and exciting for the dancefloor, such as Dark / Cosmic Disco, Synth Neo-House and Indie-Dance. Her selections are dedicated to the underground – Do not expect business as usual.
