Who says summer is supposed to make you feel good?

There are days, when the sun is shining bright, children are playing and screaming outside, but wild horses couldn’t drag you out of your bog. Every now and then, we all lose ourselves in that type of blues. And that’s OK. It may seem different, but it really is.

You could do like the fly that’s stuck to a piece of yellow tape, and try to free yourself, but with every movement you get stuck a little more. Or you can indulge in these emotions. Let yourself drift lower and lower until you softly touch down in the all-encompassing darkness. And feel.

Only then can you soar back up again. If you are down there, still waiting for a drift that picks you up and helps with the rise, wait no more. Even if it may feel like it sometimes, you’re not alone out there. Bonjour Ben knows the way back up and we know misery loves company.

In times of social distancing frequencies become company and so we keep emitting for you to keep receiving.

Danke für die Einladung und danke auch an @oh_why für das sweete Set im Anschluss!

Zugvögel im Flugmodus (Loora & Orange Drift)

Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Weich wird man wohl – allmählich und zwangsläufig – nach sechzig Malen oder fünf Zigjahren Montagssorbet. Da erfreuen wir uns am Händedruck und nicken am Kopf ganz affirmativ, wenn drei zierliche Buchstaben so ziemlich die Fußstapfen eines fantastischen Jahresabschlusses verzeichnen: @RSS Disco stehen am Schäumer, denn heute gibt's Sorbet mit Mélange à trois.

No reservations, Scrounger Nr. 128.,  thats going to be so tight. Yeah, yeah YEAH!!!

Wir begrüßen Damian in unserer etwas anderen musikalischen Reihe der harmonischen, späten Stunde. Kein Tam, tam. Keine Posaune und Trompette. Dafür mehr Trap und Hip Hop. Ja Mann, genau so mögen wir es. Wer kann das schon von sich behaupten? Scrounger….What??? Yes!

Die Rede ist von Damian aka „SCROUNGER“, der in und um Köln, nämlich laut und leise, äh Laut und Luise mäßig, sein Unwesen treibt und die Herzen der Alterno-Houser hoch hält. Gekonnt lässig lädt er uns mit seiner „Stunde nach der Stunde“ zum Abschalten des Hier und Jetzt ein. Ja genau, hier und jetzt. Und zwar JETZT UND HIER. Also Ohren AUF und... entspannen. Ein klasse Track jagt dem Nächsten… nein keine Übertreibung, keine Überraschung sondern klassisches „jörgsches Statement“ der Extraklasse.

Damian… dein von Dir eingespielter Cast ist eine Ode an den Ursprung der 4/4-Rythmik, nämlich dem (Punk) Rap, welcher tiefenentspannt und zugleich unterschwellig treibend zum meditativen Tanztraum einlädt. (Fast) Kein House, kein Techno und kein Acid + World Music Gedöns.  Es lebe der Rap, Marcin Gortat und Jörg. Äh SCROUNGER.

Wir danken Dir vielmals für diesen harmonischen, musikalischen Exkurs ins Ambient und dem Rap. Dein Set ist eine wundervolle, !afterhourreske! Geschichte geworden die Wir nicht missen möchten und definitiv über unsere Grenzen hinaus Herzen erobern wird. Wenn Unikat, dann Hier. Chapeu.

Wir sind zum Ausziehen entzückt.

Let's call it lofi-disco with a touch of happiness. Hamburg artist trio RSS Disco, consisting of the friends Max, Natalie and Falk, have left quite an impression on the local, the national, the international scene over the last decade of their creative being or, in other words, as DJs doing their thing or the only essential thing: making the crowd dance. Besides their appearances behind the decks RSS Disco run Mireia Records, on which Natalie, Falk and Max have released their up to date two EPs, namely Lovebirds and Lunar Fling, while a bunch of edits were out as white label-releases going by the name of Very and Very 2. However, the trio, when not interrupted by a pandemic, runs selective (club) nights in their hometown, handcrafts merch and is basically involved in everything that supports the creative approach of the electronic music subculture. It's artists like RSS Disco that spread a spirit of optimism with their doing and music, so unsurprisingly the friends deliver an art:cast with a blissful tone, gently combining or moving back and forth between tracks with a disco-ish note as if the autumn apple was the sweetest watermelon painting a smile on everyone's face in times when a tear hits closest to express most people's emotions. RSS Disco certainly add a different positive vibe to one's ordinary (pandemic) day.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
