Another carefully handpicked release reaffirms the steady consistency of the Esquimau imprint in nurturing jazzy, deep, and timeless old-school sounds. Chilean producer Matias V makes his debut with the 3AM, Manhattan Bridge EP, delivering two deep and jazz-tinged original cuts that stay true to Esquimau's signature aesthetic. Both '3AM, Manhattan Bridge' and 'Another Day' sit somewhere between glassy-eyed U.S. garage nostalgia and the colorful deep house of the late '90s and early 2000s, showcasing classic elements like lush chords, organ keys and piano riffs. On remix duties, respected house music figure Introbeatz lays down a solid groove foundation, emphasizing the interplay between bassline and rhythm, while the background textures and evolving atmospheres gradually build into a hypnotic vibe.

One of Australia’s finest musical exports, Dr Packer returns to Glitterbox for ‘Different Strokes Volume 2’ after the incredible first edition of the series. This second sampler from the album highlights three stellar cuts, showcasing Dr Packer’s expert abilities to produce dancefloor-ready versions of house and disco essentials. Up first, Dr Packer turns his hand to a Defected catalogue essential, Fish Go Deep & Tracey K ‘The Cure & The Cause’, adding his signature disco flare to the club classic. Up next he remixes Jean Jacques Smoothie’s 2001 release ‘2People’, taking the grooving club gem to a new dimension with a jacked-up, driving bassline. Finally, the Australian maestro takes on a more recent dancefloor number, remixing Horse Meat Disco and Amy Douglas’ ‘Let’s Go Dancing’, upping the ante with gradual builds, percussion-filled breaks and an unwavering groove destined to set dancefloors alight. If this sampler is anything to go by, ‘Dr Packer's Different Strokes Volume 2’ is set to be a stunning album from one of disco’s brightest stars.

Tortured Soul is 100% LIVE modern, deep, soulful, house music freed from the DJ Booth. Influenced by the classic songcraft of Prince, Heatwave, and Kool & The Gang, Tortured Soul is a collective of incredible international musicians united under a groove-centered rhythm. 



Frontman and songwriter, John-Christian Urich, leads the group while simultaneously drumming and singing with effortless mastery. Bass (Ernie Mckone, Bryan Ladd) and keys (Isamu McGregor, Randy Emata, Joel Martin) combine to form the pulsating rhythm and melodic joy that is integral to the Tortured Soul sound. Recently, guitarists Adam Rafferty, Kurt Slabbert, and Mark Tewarson have been helping to expand the musical journey and unlock new live-musical pleasures. Likened to "The Roots of House Music", Tortured Soul’s sound is reminiscent of Neo-Soul groups like Jamiroquai or Brand New Heavies, while also being influenced by the contemporary freshness of House purveyors like Joey Negro and Louie Vega and Nu Disco artists like Soul Clap and Purple Disco Machine.
